Meath kicking Wexford up a stick for 55 minutes Wexford ten points down and come back to win by one point, Matty Forde drawing in one with the right boot to win it."
I remember that game & that score, thank you for reminding us & putting that up, it was indeed a great comeback. Matty Forde was one of the great skilled footballers, he wouldn't be played by today's managers as he wouldn't fit into the stereotype box to box athlete/ basketball player they want, despite his gifted skill. The GAA authorities have destroyed Gaelic football & allowed club & county managers most of whom are getting paid under the table, dictate the destruction of football into the basketball we see today that spectators have stopped watching & are voting with their feet. Gaelic football as played by stars such as Matty Forde, Declan Browne, Maurice Fitzgerald, Michael Donnellan, Mick O Connell, Sean Purcell is dead & gone. The greatest comeback of all at this stage would be Gaelic football to come back from basketball & lateral passing to football where the ball is kicked rather than thrown & where skill is rewarded. The sad loss of Eugene Mc Gee can not be underestimated as he was the one voice at official level who was capable of constructive thinking & change for the betterment of football, the rest are just interested in power & developing profiles for themselves.

...how in the world did I manage to forget the game of the silly, over-eager linesman. Lol.
