I am afraid not, the big Issue is we don't have a "Stefan White" type of player, serious goal machine and scored plenty against the Top teams in the 90's MR (Louth) - Posts: 2570 - 15/05/2019 16:55:17 2184359 Link 0 |

What a player indeed as we know well in Kildare.

1991 at Drawda in the quarter finals of the Leinster Championship. Mickos first ever Championship match as Kildare manger. There must of been 18,000 people at that match. No health and safety back then.

Louth 2-15 Dubs 2-14. No harm in dreaming. OLLIE (Louth) - Posts: 12224 - 16/05/2019 13:19:59 2184584 Link 0 |

Predicted 27, won by 26. Louth didn't lack heart and endeavour but the gulf in class is massive we all knew that. Dublin March on, louth have to try pick themselves up and go again in the quallies waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13650 - 25/05/2019 23:57:43 2187450 Link 2 |
No doubt the GAA will point to McHale Park to say the provincial championships are working... Where a Division 1 team beat a Division 1 team! bennybunny (Cork) - Posts: 3917 - 26/05/2019 08:48:01 2187497 Link 0 |
A really sad day for the game & what the GAA stands for. Of course Dublin were simply a few €million times better, but I am sure the Louth team gave as much commitment to their preparation, made as many sacrifices & had as much pride in wearing their county jersey. So sorry for those Louth lads, their families & supporters. Something has to change or really what is the point of it all. It is becoming increasingly uncomfortable watching this evolution, or perhaps dissolution, particularly in Leinster of this increasingly partisan organization. greysoil (Monaghan) - Posts: 965 - 26/05/2019 08:49:34 2187499 Link 0 |
