Tyrone V Galway

(Oldest Posts First)

This is the tie of round 7 , both teams won last weekend and both have a chance of making the final.

This is tough to call and you could make a great case for both to win this one.

Just about fancy our lads to do a job up in Omagh. They've played with a bit more positivity the last two games against Mayo and Ros and I think the added incentive of pipping Mayo to the league final should be enough motivation for a winning performance.

Cathal McShane and Mattie Donnelly revelling in their new forward roles but what's the story with young Canavan? Is he being left alone to play with the U20s?

Never a penalty embarrassing 2nd goal for Tyrone Shane Walsh ran amok loads of players to come back
In for Galway , if I'm a Galway supporter I'm happy with where their at.

Wasn't any softer than the penalty Mannion got in last years final to save your day. Mannion fell back like he'd be hit by a JCB and not an outstretched arm of Tiernan Mc Cann. Likewise yesterday Cathal McShane was tripped up and knew what to do. It might not have been malicious or intentional but it was a foul, and a foul in there is a "peno".....right? Lol

You might want to go over to the Galway forum and tell them that. The doom merchants are out in force.

What happened to Galway yesterday?.They were dominating in first half and then total opposite in second half.I know Tyrone are last years all Ireland finalists and are on a good run but Galways performance was strange. It was like the fight had left them!.Tyrone are looking good though. They've learnt a lot from last year.

Agree with the soft penalty ,but saving our day ? Dublin were never going to lose that game .

I thought it was a penalty, just about tho, tackle from behind and trip, out the field its a definetly a free.
An odd passage of play before the 2nd goal, kept the ball for a few mins and went back and over going no where and eventually gave away a terrible goal. Heaney missed a great goal chance near the end too

Well we'll never know the answer. From 0-05 to 0-01 down and there's no way of knowing what would have happened if that penalty hadn't arrived at that moment.

Penalty all day long. Happy enough with the league, get everyone back, everyone for, increase the training levels and we will be ready for a serious crack..
