Kildare Vs Armagh

(Oldest Posts First)

Probably the pick of the fixtures on the opening day of Division 2.

Kieran McGeeney has Armagh motoring well early and Jamie Clarke is back in the team.

Kildare have troubles with injuries etc. and Daniel Flynn has opted off the panel for the year.

Armagh by 3.

Tend to agree, on top of the missing guys we haven't a great record against Armagh. Hopefully Peter Kelly is back because we need a bit more experience in the backs. Need to bring the same passion we had against Mayo to win it. Here's hoping!

If our defence allows Jamie Clark the freedom of the pitch he enjoyed in Croke Park in the 4th round qualifiers 2 years ago we will struggle.
Our forwards will need to up their game in the absence of our best freetaker Neill Flynn. At this stage I would settle for a draw.

Hard to know how this will pan out. Very tight game. Just feel Kildare might edge it by point or two.

Kildare have 3 home & 4 away games so if we lose this one promotion will be tough to get with no points & 4 out of 6 remaining games away. In short : we need a win. Missing quite a few but sounds like Armagh might be too so whichever team copes best will win.
From a Kildare point of view, will be interesting to see how many of last year's u20s get a run & to see what Eoghan O'Flaherty can still bring at this level after stepping away for 2 years.
Looking forward to it anyway. Cill Dara Abu!
(or Call Data Abuse as my predictive text seems determined to make me say !)
