Quinlivan, Kiely and Bill Maher 3 huge losses for us. Paudi feehan and Paul Maher new in from the hurlers this year would be very close to a start and Shane o Connell missing aswell who started most games last year. Most in the same boat with injuries and getting players right but it gives a chance to other players to step up to the mark. No really sure what we can expect from tipp this game. 1st two games against Meath and fermanagh would have been games we really would have been targeting to win but it's a lot harder looking now

Meath r missing players also. I know Tippearey are missing Quilvan but Meath r missing their best forward eg Donal lenihan gone travelling for the year Meath r missing players like Donal lenihan Padraig Harnan Ronan Jones Ruari O Coilean Harry Rooney and Padraig McKeever . They wud be all starting pretty much if they were available. Lenihan is Meaths top scorer / best forward for last two years and Rooney and Jones are Meaths two best midfielders. All huge losses also.

Well I think Meath would have been aiming for 3 wins from 4 at home and a win or two on the road, that would probably secure promotion. However 6 of those starting tomorrow are changed from the team that went down by 1 point to Tyrone. 40% thereabouts of a change in personal, so hard to know what we will get. Here's hoping.

Most of the Meath players you listed have chosen not to play for us for one reason or another. Tipp on other hand are missing several because of injury, little point dwelling on what might have been. Need to move on and make the best of thoes who have committed

Wouldn't be confident of a good start today going by the named 15. Looks like 5 of the 6 forwards named to start weren't on the championship panel last year. Add in 4 of last years starting defence to the missing list and it's certainly a good opportunity for some of the fringe players and younger lads to stake a claim.

Between injuries, club football and Sigerson we probably won't be close to full strenght until about half way through the league.

Be pleasantly surprised if we're still in the mix for promotion heading up to Donegal, although going there and needing a win would be far from ideal.

Good run out today. And the young guns showed lots of promise. Yes the older more experienced heads coming off the bench was the decisive part of our win. But still some very exciting prospects coming into panel. Great to have Newman back, lot more positive this year than most. You can see things coming together, it's taken a long while but we are very much heading in the right direction. Can not wait for ballybofey on Saturday

From a Kildare perspective, got to be happy with a draw. Until I saw our team being named; I'll be honest I hadn't quite put together how many players we were missing. With a patched up team, key man like Feely off injured within first 10 minutes & 5 points down in 2nd half to a team who looked a lot sharper than us for a lot of the game .... the last 15-20 mins they showed great character to claw themselves back into it. Get a few bodies back in for next week & hopefully a moee fluid performance v Cork.

Don't think that's a bad result for Kildare at all. Are you at home or away to donegal? I said it before this started the games between Armagh donegal Kildare and Meath when they play each other will decide who goes up.

Can't say we were great today but with a very young side they showed great character to come away with the points. When the game was in the melting pot Ryan Mc Hugh and Leo Mc Loone off the bench showed great leadership. Jamie Brennan was excellent again and good showings from Jason Mc Gee and Niall O Donnell. Meath will be a big step up but if we can get anything from that game it will be a great start without Neil Mc Gee, Paddy Mc Grath, Daire O' Baoil, Frank Mc Glynn, Paddy Mc Brearty, Odhran Mac Niallais, Cian Mulligan and of course a certain Michael Murphy.

Not a great performance at all but certainly a fantastic result. Finished the game with 5 of last years u20's and they played like they have "arrived and belong". Masterson is just a class act.. Jimmy H is as cool as the other side of the pillow..

Away to Donegal on the last day I think. Only have Tipp and Clare at home now so four out of six away is putting it up to us. Great point today in the end, I don't think we'll be too far away when it's wrapped up.

Don't think any team is going to run away with it either, I think it will be a last day decision of who goes up and who goes down, head to heads and score difference to probably decide it in the end. right down to the wire as they say.

Very happy with the draw yesterday considering that we were 5 points down with 12 minutes of normal time remaining.
It was a point gained rather than lost but Armagh will see it the other way round. Very impressed with the performance s of the U 20's.
