Replying To bloodyban:  "The only thing that really stinks is the Waterford county board and Walsh Park. If this issue rumbles on again like last year then it will affect the team. I don't mind if Waterford get 2 home games..hope they do. But what I can say is that if they don't then it should be accepted and got on with for the teams sake or there 'll be no All Ireland for Waterford in 2019."
It is always a ploy to deviate from the behaviour of your own by talking about Waterford. A county that has 12 senior clubs and 48 in all. Many of them from areas like where the Bennetts come from with less that 100 population. Also a lot of talk from people who do not know the facts. Far from me to totally defend the county board but a stadium would have been built in 2008 but for the recession. In fairness they have been working on this for the last 5 years again and did not change the championship format. Waterford do not have the money and have to do the best they can. Once completed there will still be people complaining about parking. Again without knowing the facts.
No they should not accept playing these games outside Waterford now and won't. Waterford or no where. Ye and your neighbours can take the plaudits for that, if it happens.

Spare me the crocodile tears. This is solely a Waterford problem. They should be kicked out of senior inter-county competitions until they sort this out.

So you've now moved on to play the poor old Waterford card Canuck. Offaly won All-Ireland with 4 clubs.
As Cockney_Cat says, spare us the crocodile tears.

It is nobody else's fault other than Waterford County Board that Walsh park is in such a dilapidated state. But lets get 1 thing straight, there is no way in this world season ticket holders from Limerick and Clare will not be accommodated for a championship game. Also I doubt very much Waterford have 8k season ticket holders!

I think that hits the nail on the head.

There is no doubt the Waterford haters are truly in good fettle judging by some of the comments here. The facts are they have cooperated every possible way when the new championship was trust upon them.
This year we were told that the games could not be played in Waterford for safety reasons with Keane's road wall. Without ever using that side 8000 could be accommodated. No that is too small. However Dublin could play Kilkenny in Parnell Park when Croke Park was not available. 8000 or so attended.
Waterford asked to play their games in Nolan Park but were told by Munster that they could not play outside of the province. However the Leinster final was played in Thurles when Croke Park was needed to generate money (not gaelic games uses). No problem for Munster with that or Leinster.
Again for 2019 asked if Wash Park was under reconstruction to play home games in Nolan Park to facilitate their supporters and the opposition supporters. The two teams involved in Waterford homes games blocked it with the enlisted support of Kerry who are not in the competition. Judge that for what it is.
Some bright spark on here wants to throw Waterford out of competition. Of course he is from another province that his county were told they would be be penalized for their treatment of gaelic football.
The games will be played in Waterford and may be the Munster council can dig up some rule that for home championship games the home team supporters should have first dibs on tickets. You know like the one of playing outside the province.

Waterford haters? What on earth are you on about. I can tell you 1 thing for nothing, I would say Waterford are the vast majority of hurling counties second team. I know most of Wexford anyway.
But when you come out with some nonsense about poor old Waterford and talk about locking supporters from other counties out of an inter-county game because they have a stadium that is falling down, don't be surprised if people call you out on it.

waterford are my 2nd team in hurling, always shout for them against anyone but ourselves.
but ultimately,it is their own fault they dont have a ground.our own ground needs a bit of an upgrade in terms of toilet facilities and the like but in general it is a decent ground and more than capable of holding all but the biggest games.

Think you are right. It would keep Waterford happy and give them time to decide Walsh park is a bad idea and do something else. But it looks like Nowlan Park is the one option Definately not happening.
