You can add Armagh to that list which I am not surprised because there was never anyone on that forum.

I believe the behaviour of some of the key board warriors were the reason for this. Asking friends and family why they never post. There answer, why would we subject ourselves to another level of the abuse that we get anyway. Not saying Waterford people would not give it also. There is always rivalry between neighbouring counties but the majority of us have nothing only admiration for the Cats, what they have achieved and how they go about it. There is no one else we would like to imitate more. There was a site "up the Deise" but the abuse was unreal to posters and the vitriol towards Waterford players got out of hand. Waterford people now realize stay off these sites is the best way of protecting your player. I am the only Deise poster on Hogan Stand. Doing it because of the experience getting the opinions of others. Sometimes a bit of banter but in general poster are decent and well behaved.

It just doesn't make common sense, that Cork the second largest county in the country and one of the most successful at all levels, laden down with silver, trophies, all Ireland titles to beat the band, their last football senior title was a couple of years ago in 2010, their last senior hurling title being a little further back in 2005, and they go AWOL. supersub15 (Carlow) - Posts: 2904 - 24/01/2019 09:50:27 2159224 Link 0 |
