Question every one, can you score directly from a mark? i always thought the mark was an indirect free kick therefore you cannot score from it. mrsme (USA) - Posts: 172 - 10/11/2018 11:04:40 2150498 Link 0 |
If you are the player awarded the mark I think you can. Suppose though in reality most catches will be in your own half so would take some hoof. But if it is a longer kick ad caught within range of the player then I believe they can shoot and score.

Nothing in the rule to say you can't score. In reality with only having 5 seconds of so to settle yourself after catching a mark and being at least 46m from the goals means it is unlikely you'll see it. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13692 - 10/11/2018 13:43:52 2150508 Link 1 |
What was explained to me by a ref on the first day of it being introduced was as such; if you yourself win the mark, you can shoot. (presumably an opposition kick out that lands just beyond the 45, would be a hell of a kick from your own keeper to put it in shooting range) Sweetspot (Kildare) - Posts: 323 - 10/11/2018 14:46:54 2150512 Link 0 |
