Ahh feck it anyway, really came good last year. And if I'm honest thought he and menton would be the long term midfield pairing. Pity. But can't blame him I guess.

Sorry to hear Kenneally is not available, thought he looked quite good last year.

The final for this seems to be on Friday 18th at 8pm in Parnell Park.....regardless of the teams in it, seems a bit mad....

What if it is a Meath - Longford/Westmeath final, it would make more sense then to toss for home venue

Well if its to be played on the Friday, then only Dublin of the four counties involved have got lights in the county ground. Thats one thing I can think of anyway

That is true but surely it doesn't have to be a Friday night, as said above if it is a Meath v Longford/Westmeath final then dragging any of those counties into Parnell Park on a Friday night is madness, another one of these strange scenarios that Leinster Council are so fond of creating

That's it I mean why on Friday eve? We will have to get off work early etc. are they trying to bring down attendance? Should Meath prevail I think give up home advantage to either longford or Westmeath and say we will see you in either pearse park or cusack part on sat/sun afternoon.

If Meath were to qualify for the final on the Friday night I think Andy McEntee will be very happy that it is on a Friday night as it will give his players the weekend off to recover before the Tipperary game the following weekend which is an absolute must win especially at home.

It's a fair point you make. Just very difficult on the fans. That been said should we get there I'll bloody well make sure I get to it. U never know I may be sick from work that day :)

Reading the article there on Meath dubs obc in 15.
Only 8 out of 21 (open to correction, but that's all I can see ) players used that day are still on panel, it hits home just how young/new this panel of players are and the massive changes that Andy mcentee has introduced, most of that team would have been the starters come championship.

Well that's over for another year. Tbh we kicked it away. Not too disheartened. Lot of positives and Andy now knows what needs to be done. Apart from maybe two spots the team picks itself.
Roll on Tipperary.

Very frustrating tonight.

Not worried about losing on penalties but we lost the game in our attack in normal time. Should really have been out of sight with 15 minutes to go.

Obviously it is a pre-season competition and I will not get too carried away but on the other hand, the worrying aspect for me is we had roughly 10 of our best league/championship 15 out there and they couldn't cobble together a result.

Hopefully the lads can iron out those faults before Tipp come to Navan.

We won't come within 10 pounts of dublin if we play in the championship. Unfortunate reality but their third team beat us. If teams like Dublin are going to use this competition to rest their senior lads they should just m extend the league by making it home and away and start it in December.

Hope he was fully aware what needed to be done well before this game. Tipp game is a must win to kick start league on positive note

Actually not worried at all. The game was meaningless and in fairness a great run out before the business really begins. As I said earlier not sure if playing a match 9 days before our push for promotion would have been ideal. Now don't get me wrong would have been delighted to win but wasn't to be. We kicked too many balls wide in first half and too many into keepers hands in second half. Can't wait for tipp game. Really enjoyed tonight's fair.
Hone the royal.

I'm sure he is. But a game like that tells you more than 10 training sessions. That's what I was saying
