I see there is a potential repeat of last year's Leinster club SFC final in the first round next weekend. Can Athy or Mullingar Shamrocks cause upsets on Moorefield and St Loman's?

Fancy Gaoth Dobhair to come out on top in Donegal if they can keep doing what they've been doing thus far and not let the occasion of the final get to them. Glenties are veteran operators at this stage of the year but I think overall the Gaoth Dobhair men will have too much.

Over half the expected starting team are current or former county senior players and a good few of the remaining ones at underage level.

Some team, didn't know they were that star studded. It's on TG4 I believe.

Tyrone final on at 4 tomorrow.

Killyclogher Vs Coalisland.

Two very evenly matched teams, bookies can't call it. I'm going for Killyclogher by 4. Bradley and McCanns will prove the difference. However it wouldnt be a shock if the Island won it. Could change my mind tomorrow. Good luck to both teams

Can't see Killyclogher losing this one Fridge. Fianna had a easy enough run and are pretty much in bonus territory.

Not a big fan of either team but I think it will be a good match and an entertaining one for the neutrals.

One thing you gotta love about the club game is unpredictably of it , of course bigger clubs win more than they lose but there really is nothing guaranteed, love it one of my favorite times of the year , only gripe is weather particularly for hurling, been to a couple of relegation play offs recently swear to god love it

I honestly think this gweedore team is the best squad of players that we have seen in donegal this years. I fancy them big time today. I have huge respect for this n conal team they are a proper gaa club, but I think today is the day for the gweedore team to come of age.

We were both wrong Wally.

Just shows you how tough it is to win the Tyrone championship.

Well done Coalisland, hard luck Killyclogher.

Not a great game to be honest, openly up a bit in the second half.

I'd have went for a KK win also, but that's the Tyrone c'ship for you. Thought there was an element of good fortune about Coalisland's first goal, but their big lad up front was hard to deal with for their second and they finished very strongly, probably played their best football in the final 1/4. What about the Tatts in the intermediate! Be a big ask for them in Div 1 next year, but they'll enjoy this.

Fantastic win for the Tatts. Big derbies next year with Omagh and KC.

Fair play to them, from junior to senior in 3 years. Unreal.

Antrim County Championship final

Cargin 0-5
Creggan 0-4

Horrible year for Antrim on all fronts again. This just about sums it up!

Ordhan MacNiallis is an outstanding footballer I absolutely love watching him play. That donegal final could of been a classic only for the non stop bs hand bags every 2 minutes , when will this ever end? It's just boring now it really is, Marty Boyle karma is a you know what, you cheated in '11 to get a player sent off so you can have no tears today what goes around comes around.

Tony Kelly what a hurler , his point in the first half was just class , he's still only young many more years of watching him do his thing , he'll be talked about in a hundred years time one of the all time greats.

Really enjoyed Odhrán Mac Niallais' performance today. He really drove Gaoth Dobhair forward at times.

Marvellous footballer.

Corofin are begining to show their intentions finally. Kieran Fitzgearld at 37 rolled back the years today and done a job on Damien Comer. Poor Damo never saw it coming.

Mac Niallais is a wonderful talent and really showed it in the final today. I also thought Kieran Gillespie was excellent. He was a big loss to Donegal in 2018 but in that performance I'm sure he'll have a big say in 2019.

Hope now they did well in Ulster.

Seems to be a lot of young talent in that Gaoth Dobhair team, added to the experience of the McGees and Cassidy, and Gaoth Dobhair could have a right cut at Ulster.

You are right re the game. It was bubbling alone nicely till that rubbish started before HT. It seemed Leo McLoone was at the centre of alot of it. He would have been better off putting his energy into how he played. There was an over reliance on Ciaran Thompson though I thought Ethan O'Donnell played really well till his injury. Ultimately Naomh Connaill brought that niggle into the 2nd half with them and it cost them ruining the game as a contest. Odhran was magical one of the most naturally talented footballers in the country. I think he was really wasted playing that turgid style under RG and was just making a real mark on this years championship when forced off with injury against Tyrone. Not spoke about much in the aftermath of that game but for me it was a real turning point when he went off. The experience of the McGee's and Kevin Cassidy really showed today with Eamon in particular finding pockets and linking play really well. Depending if recovered from the celebrations and refocused this Gweedore team could make a real rattle at Ulster. Their U-21 team won Ulster last year pulling up. Despite what u seen today they are actually a very attacking side that could rip teams apart if they take them on in an open style game. Donegal are in for some treats in the club scene over the next few years with Gweedore, Kilcar and exciting young talent coming through in St Eunans once they ditch their negative approach from this year.

Gaoth Dobhair won fairly comfortably in the end. They have a great blend of youth and experience, and in Odhran MacNíallais a genuine marquee player. They'll celebrate well for a few days but hopefully they'll have knuckled down again for Sunday week. With the squad they have they should seriously be giving Ulster a good rattle. If I had one criticism of them yesterday it was that they butchered a couple of goal chances when they caught Glenties on the break. They might need to be a bit more clinical and ruthless in Ulster.

Both teams were at it in fairness , couldn't understand why Leo kept getting involved , you're the best player on the other team concentrate on the game. These pushing and shoving matches everyone in that happen in every game up and down the country are so boring now and ruin great games , can players just get on with playing the game and stop with all this macho bs were all sick of it.
