Programme as a concept has a future , I really think it's a great idea , but it has to deliver quality players , lads that fit the profile of the show , lads that just missed out or were over looked in other words maybe consider themselves unlucky , ultimately they have to show some semblance of being able to compete

Looking at the game on Friday night the Underdogs
were totally at sea not sure how the selectors picked
their panel these guys are not even close to a junior
intercounty team the last time i saw the Underdogs
play with Donaghy and ONeill that was a decent team
they would have been better off playing a div 4 team
and they still would have taken a beaten

I agree. I think had they have played against a full strength Division 3/4 team I think the beating would have been worse to be honest.

I guess there the guys that "auditioned" for the show. I feel you had more of a chance making the panel if you had a sob story. I mean some of those guys were so unfit. No offence to them. There were lads there that can't make the panel of there senior club team never mind going up against a dublin team.

The show has been of the airways for a few years so maybe more players will go for trials in the future.

Yeah the concept is sound enough but to make it work you need to be getting players on board who are starring for their clubs but are slightly below county standard. The extra training camps plus input from the likes of Galvin might just bridge the gap for one or two. Trouble is at this time of year these players are playing championship football and haven't the time to get involved in anything else. Some of the lads looked so out of shape they would struggle to get on a good junior b team and playing a group of Dubs out to make an impression was the last thing they needed.

Yeah I couldn't understand why they couldn't have been doing this while the championship was on and these players wearnt playing for their clubs as most of the club championship stuff was on hold. Then play a mix of a 1st and development panel from a good division 2 team that didn't get promoted....or someone willing to have a good 2weeks after going out of the championship

How about change the rules a bit. Ex county players from Division 3 and 4 who haven't played for 5 years can enter. You might get some decent players.

They need to change the ruling somewhat or just give up as have the squad were not near the standard needed.

Showing up fit should be the minimum requirement.

concept should be kept going but possibly make sure the players aren't playing to get on the camera's ie: the goalkeeper and the corner back
