At this far remove you'd have to heavily fancy both Donegal and Kildare to go up.

The rest could all cause a shock though, and all could probably go down easily as well.

Probably given it's just the Kildare fixtures but it does show all the teams that are competing and no harm having a forum anyways

To be fair Tipperary were extremely unlucky not to be promoted last year so I would expect them tobe in the mix but given Donegal and Kildare's exploits in the championship I would think that if they both take it seriously they will go straight back up .

Don't know where all the confidence is coming for Kildare. (Admittedly it's mostly from non Kildare people) this is the same Kildare who have had a nightmare year if you take away the mayo result, didn't win a game in all competitions for a year, including loses to longford all of division one games and of course the championship loss to Carlow. Now definitely got back on track afterwards with wins against longford and of course the famous win v mayo. I'm sure no one in Kildare is taking this league as a easy outing. Division two is a mine field, looking back on it if we had beat cork Meath would have been promoted, or if we had lost to either down or Louth would have been relegated, margins are really that thin. I give us a hell of a decent shout this year if we keep improving I don't see why we can't compete, the game I'm most looking forward to is the one in ballybofey , we dominated last time we played there and only for foolishness in time wasting at end would not have given away the free for Murphy to draw the game and promote donegal instead of ourselves. Expect much the same team as last year with a few added lads to come in (Conlon is the obvious one) also a couple of the lads who were studying. Can't wait, promotion will be tight as will relegation. We have 4 home games so would be hoping to get 6 points from that and should we get 4 on the road that will promote us.
Hon the royal.

Think we will struggle and I fear that two of either Clare Cork and Tipp could go down.
Realistically if Tipp beat Meath Clare Fermanagh and Cork plus maybe take a scalp of Armagh Donegal or Kildare we could be in the mix.

Yeah, next year's division 2 looks much stronger than this year based on the teams coming down from division 1 and up from division 3. Kildare and Donegal were in the super 8s. Donegal were unlucky to be in the same group as the All-Ireland finalists. Fermanagh were good this year as were Armagh too. Cork, Clare and Meath are 50/50 games for us.

It will be interesting to see if Kearns stays on and if he does who he brings into the backroom team in place of the guys who are stepping away.
