Replying To woops: "All Stars should go to players who holds up in the big games under the biggest pressure. Beggan was unreal in some games especially during the first half against Kerry, he wasnt as influential in the second half when under more pressure from both kick outs and free kicks.
But the moment that stands out is the silly moment against Tyrone when he prob got carried away with himself and his abilities and went for that hail mary which was at a pivotal moment.
An All Star wins you big games...not loses them.
Cluxton for me wins the keeper award."
Some might call Beggan's interception in the last moments of the semi leadership - I certainly would. It is a bit of a stretch to suggest that he lost us the game. That game was lost in the first 15 minutes. Rory is the best in the country, end of. Whether he gets his All Star or not remains to be seen & all the pontificating on this forum is, frankly, irrelevant.

Cluxton didn't win the All Ireland for Dublin and Beggan didn't lose the semi final for Monaghan .

"Interception" you're grasping a little there calling it an interception. Tyrone crazily kicked the ball away and were lucky not to be punished by an equally crazy bit of play from Beggan. Saying that, would happily take any of the three All-Star nominated goalies.
