Tickets Non Competing Counties

(Oldest Posts First)

How many tickets are clubs in non competing counties getting for both hurling and football finals this year. I am a club member but have never been told how tickets received are distributed for either final. What is the norm in most clubs for distribution of those tickets?

As far as i know, each county board get a certain amount of tickets, and its up to them how to distribute them. In Wexford each dual club gets 5 tickets and each single code club gets 3

I didn't realise we had 800 former GAA presidents. That seems a ridiculously high allocation

My club usually raffle the hurling ones and our sponsor gets the football ones, might change from year to year. Previously it had been that any member who's county was in the final had first option on them.

Clubs from competing hurling counties used to swap their football final tickets with clubs in the football finalists counties for hurling tickets. Not sure if that still goes on.

In terms of football the crowds are well down. So for once you would have to support how the GAA distribute tickets. Anybody who wants to attend this years football final should get a ticket handy enough!

It does...there was a lot of swapping between Galway and Mayo last year.
