No the old record player in Navan would never handle having to play the anthem twice, famous story from a few years back when the old record unexpectedly stopped mid anthem and the announcer had left the mic on and was heard to exclaim "ah bollocks" much to the delight of the gathered masses in the stand :-)

That was probably just the ice cream van outside you heard for the first one.

Sky eh ! That shower will be the ruination of the country. Sure there's women on there that wouldn't be out of place in Hello magazine. What next , fancy musak and open necked shirts.
Dirty dirty feckers.

You mustn't have been at too many games in Croker if you have to ask this question.

Agree with many others the anthem should be reserved for showpiece games only, especially given no one could be bothered to sing past "faoi lamhach na bpilear" and recently the teams have been going into their positions after that line as well. The less there is of that farce the better!

Only in Ireland.
Wasn't there an episode too where the Italian national anthem got played before a game ?
Now that's one that drags on a bit.

No doubt some of them will be looking for the Palestinian National Anthem in solidarity with those other mopes.
