That case according to media reports centred around a coach berating a player for sitting out a training session. Front page headlines in some national papers called for the coach to step down. The only difference I can see is that the mayo case involves a male manager and female players." The other difference was we were all told what the player's issue was. He didn't call a press conference and say damn all. The Mayo girls who walked away left their manager's reputation hanging in mid air and their fellow players don't support them. They need to explain their stance or stop looking for support for an issue they are keeping invisible.

They get great mileage out of these kinds of stories and often seem to like fanning the flames.
I'll tell you something though, those girls who left should come out now and stop this oul sh1te hawking and say something other than casting aspersions and putting nothing statements out that clear up feck all .

That is the part of the players who have stayed statement I want to talk about. Firstly I personally think this is a power struggle simple as that. No issues from the start of the year when manager and captain had words when captain tried to flex her muscles and say we run the team around here and manager said hey know not anymore. Next incident was 6 months later after having a very successful league campaign and making the league final. Guess what then some big name returns and trouble starts. OK talking about the above statement maybe I am wrong but they say free to play without fear or intimidation. Perhaps and I might be wrong but perhaps there was intimidation and bullying going on by returning older players and the manager stopped it. Either way girls are very happy and there parents are very happy with this manager obviously. This is a closed case and unless the exiles either say sorry for the use of the words they used or they come up with real facts that back them up well then nobody should be talking about this anymore. The players that play are the only ones who count the players who left are not county players anymore full stop and have no say in the mayo set up.
