My post WASN'T meant to be sneering or insulting to Mayo. I was actually praising them and that's why I used the Jimmy White comparison. Both he and Mayo are/were very talented at what they did, exciting to watch, entertaining BUT for some reason didn't possess that streetwise, clinical edge to win the ultimate prize. It's as if they didn't believe within themselves.
