Rigged Qualifier Draws

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Sadly it seems GAA HQ haven't learnt the lesson from the Kildare Debacle. Cavan have escaped with no punishment for an incident similar to where Armagh U20 had half the team suspended. Did Cavan get a reprieve from GAA rules because they had agreed to Croke Park double header? Are the rules going to be continue being different for different teams? I'd suspect the rigging of draws will continue.

Rigging the draw would have to include RTE surely as well as Mickey Quinn so are we to believe this was all arranged amongst themselves.
Would RTE be in on it too then or would they not notice anything odd about the set up ?

No RTE don't need to be "in on it". There are different levels and ways of "rigging" the draw and creating an un-level playing field.

So if Kildare get a home tie change it to Croke Park. If Armagh commit an offence, throw the book at them. If another team commits the same offence, let them off. If you don't want 2 Ulster teams in the final create an A and a B side, etc.

What about trying to have no Ulster teams in the final? How could we get that scenario to materialise. It's ridiculous to suggest there's underhand tactics at play to rig the system. There might be incompetence , probably plenty of it but to suggest anything else is paranoia.
