There isn't a footballer better than him in the country at the moment. A midfielder that has absolutely everything....

Another Brian Fenton appreciation thread, great.
He is the greatest player to ever lace up a pair of boots. It's as if he's 10 foot tall and can score from 70 yards out.

Wonderful match changing display away (or I mean at neutral venue) to a team only 31 places below them in the league rankings.......had he not contributed that 1-3, goodness knows what might have happened.

Yeah, a bit ridiculous starting a thread on any player after a 1 sided game like that.

Easy for any player to look good in such circumstances.

Was poor in Dublin's last big game (Mayo last September) while McCarthy showed he's twice the player when the going gets tough.

Yet to see Fenton do it when it really matters. Like his former clubmate, the term Rolls Royce comes to mind.

he's been at it for 3 years folks, not 1 game.

Then why does your opening post say "at the moment"?

He is outstanding, how did ye keep him away from those pesky aussies?? Even now you'd think he must be ripe for the picking! Might have been that knee injury when he missed a year around 18 that got him under their radar.

Some operator, I'd love to see the dubs beaten this year but enjoy watching talent like Fenton in our game regardless.

He was Man of the Match in the 2015 AI Final, and I'm fairly sure that game really mattered.

He has 4 x AI medals (including 1 x U21), 3 x National League, 3 x Leinster senior titles, 2 x All-Stars, all accumulated in the last 4 years.

Since the minute he stepped onto the Dublin senior panel, he has been an ever present at midfield on what is one of the greatest gaelic football teams we've ever seen.

Your comment is ridiculous - he's one of the very best and consistently brilliant footballers in Ireland.

He is a Rolls Royce of a midfielder for sure. Big powerful engine just.
I'd love to have seen him go up against our big Neil Gallagher but unfortunately Neil was just stepping away from the inter county scene as Fenton was emerging.

He has never suffered a championship defeat at senior level in over 4 years. Mad Ted!

The man is clearly one of the best in the business and has the silverware to prove it as well as a collection of exceptional individual performances.

But what is there really to debate about this? Could the self appreciation not stay on the Dublin page for those who can't stop talking about themselves?
