Great to see you will know who you are playing in the championship in the summer before you know who you will face in the first game of the league in April.....

Blues, O'Connells Gaels will be 1 group , always seems to be senior champs inter champs and beaten finalists last couple of years .
But again will be tough to call winners again this year

Yep it will be wide open again. The Blues have not won back to back since 2000/2001. Maybe the Jocks could reach the promise land for the very first time in their history.

Interesting draw some great match ups in senior & inter & only 1 game of interest in junior. Senior group 1 very hard to call & inter group 2 very hard to call with all 3 clubs in Div 1 can't wait for all this to kick off . & That 1 game in junior is not really that important as both team's Will still go into the open draw for the Q/F this junior c'ship is pretty poor stuff & needs a revamp with only 3 contenders in it.

It sure is interesting draws TopDog. Group 1 in Inter with Hunterstown, Feckins, Mochs they were all in the same group last year while Group 2 with Clans, Brides, Mattock they were all the same group in 2016. Regarding the Junior Championship why not split it in Junior 1 and Junior 2. Junior 1 could consist of the eight teams who reach the knock out stages. Next year they could be split in two groups of four. The top two go through to the semi-finals while the bottom teams in each group would play off against each other in a relegation play-off. The loser going down to Junior 2. Junior 2 would consist of the five teams who failed to get out of their groups. It could be run like the hurling championship in a round robin with the group winners going in to the final and the second v third playing in a semi-final with the winner. Junior 2 winners getting promoted to Junior 1.

That's a good idea & would be well worth a try but the CB & junior clubs don't really like change & they had enough problems with junior clubs crying about a 2nd team playing in Div 3 last season & wouldn't even let us play in the winter league this season. The CB have no problem charging you €10 in to watch 1 of these games which a team could win by 15/20 points. The county team will never improve if the club football doesn't improve so they really need to try improve Div 3 & junior c'ship. I would like our 2nd team to play in that c'ship with the other 5 junior teams & any other 2nd team who have the numbers to do so. Last year we used 25 players in the senior c'ship so we would have to play without them 25 players but we would still give it a fair lash. But not a hope of us been given a chance to do so.

Yeah Clans Mattock & Brides every score is vital in these games as it can go down to score difference who doesn't make it out of group .
