Totally disagree, it was probably his worst piece in a while. Why focus on something 50 years ago. I bought the Sunday Indo today to see if he could back up his loose comments about Galway from last week, he got away with his lazy analysis on RTE and he had an opportunity to clarify his comments with some decent analysis today but he missed the chance. Stephen Poacher (Carlow Coach) called him out on it this week in Gaelic Life. His article on teachers working in the Gulf was a little better. Joe Brolly had the best football article this weekend followed by Keith Duggan in yesterday's times.

It's a very good article and I'll look out for the book. Some achievement for them to decide to go, raise all that money and head Down Under within about six months.

Think they put 5 goals past Dublin in 2010 LSFC on way to controversial win over Louth.

Ha ha, you know, I was waiting on that one, but I thought it would be a meathman. Well all I can say about that is, we were beaten by a single point in an AI semi-final by the eventual champions that year, what happened to Meath :D

Well worth watching the documentary about the Australian Tour to Ireland in 1967

avaiable to watch here http://www.thegalahs.com/

Some other footage from back then at 20.16 it looks to be the Down team vs Australia at some point playing in Croke Park

I remember the Aussie tour in 1967. They played Meath and Mayo. Mayo gave them a better game than Meath did.

I see Colm reads "Hoganstand" forum, he finally got round to doing an analysis on Galway in today's paper. Now it took him a couple of weeks. I wonder would now he get off the fence and take the Meath job as he has all the answers!!!

There is no vacancy in Meath, and won't be for a very long time. We have the man we wanted and will do everything to keep him as he rebuilds Meath football. Even if we did lose Andy , Colm would be way down the list. So not a hope of him been offered job, we have one of the best managers in country. And while he has to sort out problems within Meath he is doing a absolute fantastic job.

Why was there any need to do an analysis of Galway? What he said on League Sunday was spot on and actually complimentary about Galway. Ye are a more physical team now but also a better, more consistent team that's winning matches. Better to be getting annoyed about analyst's opinions, and winning games, than nobody talking about ye good bad or indifferent.

Come out of the fog mate and give your head a wobble. That is an outragous statement. Lets call a spade a spade, Meath have gone back under Andy McEntee and he has been a spet down for your previous manager Mick O'Dowd who at least had Meath challenging for promotion. Meath are fighting relagation these days and your manager has stated last two years he was targetting league promotion as number 1 target. He has failed again. Giving O'Rourke a shot couldnt be any worse that what is sadly happening Meath at the minute

You have outdone yourself once again. This is one of your most bizarre posts. Can you please explain to us how Andy McEntee is doing a fantastic job? His target for the year was promotion to Division 1 and he has failed miserably with this. Division 3 looks a disticnt possibility for us now unfortunately.

Another meath reality check. Andy is a good manager. Meath do not have the players to be even close to division 1 at the minute. Meath are lower div 2 / div 3. Thats the standard they are at. Any manager could take over and the standard won't change. Underage development should be more a priority
