Does no one go down town anymore?

Transfers are becoming more and more orevailent in the GAA and a lot of mercs have began to sprout. The GAA either needs to crack down and stop transfers within a county (unless you move over a certain distance away), cross border transfers or open up a tranafer window. Its just a half cocked mess at the moment.

I also dont believe in the excuse "if they dont get a transfer then the GAA loses players". That is bull. The lads who get transfers will quit GAA anyway, they are only interested in themselves. Let them rot away from the game. They are usually the tyoe of people who take everything and give nothing back to the sport anyway.

Was talking to or CB man there he said the majority of transfers this year were sanctioned or left unopposed by the clubs. Said only 5/6 were sanctioned by ccc and 8 refused by ccc. Its a strange one we have a ridiculous number of transfers in our county and the majority are put through by the clubs themselves. There would need to be a strict set of rules brought in to change this.
