Kerry Vs Galway

Expecting a good Match. Sean Andy on Clifford could be some battle. Hoping Kerry have Sean O'Se starting again as his pace and power is lethal, expecting Paul Geany to be starting also. As for Galway They should be given Comer and Cooke a small break maybe starting them and bringing both off before Half-Time, Brannigan should be given a chance to play freely up top. Hoping both team's will attack from the very start and don't go too defensive. Going for a narrow Galway win here.

I agree it'll be close. A draw wouldn't shock me at all.

I wish you would've given up years ago, what's wrong with taking them off early before half time? Please do explain to me!

"starting them and bringing both off before half time" why exactly??? probably our best forward all year and captain and if we are to have any chance of a win on Sunday we need a big one from Comer as for Cooke he needs to play against the best teams to see where hes at. two young men Comer at the top of his game and Cooke trying to get there iv no idea why they might need a break after only a month of football. The Siegerson run was the best thing for them, loads of games and no training in between the games and just stay fresh. when I was 22 and 24 all I wanted was games and not hard training. id expect Geaney to be full forward on Sean Andy and keirns on Clifford in the corner

I did think Comer looked very tired in the last 15 minutes of the Sigerson final. Cooke too for that matter. Both have played a lot of football already this year and you have to bear in mind that Galway will be hoping to be in the Super 8's later in the year. It's far from madness to think about resting them for a game or two. That said I don't think it will be for this game.

Totally agree. We've hit the league hammer and tongs, if they don't ease up we'll be looking ár fatigue, or even worse, injuries, right when the team needs to be hitting its championship stride. I wonder if we'll see KW take the foot off the pedal once our div 1 status for next year is secured.

Not madness to give them a rest. But a suggestion to start a player and take them off before half time for a rest is moronic.

Jesus Belclare give the lad a break he's only giving an opinion. I do think that the sigerson players Comer Cooke and Kelly could be given a break at some stage (they've been playing 2 games a week lately), particularly as we should be safe in division 1 now. Maybe not for the kerry game though.

Comer played 3 matches last week, Mayo and 2 Sigersons, and he had a bereavement. He would be entitled to skip Kerry game if it suits him. No team wins anything depending on one lad. The bigger picture is that we might need one point from the four games but we must stay competitive or it is a waste of time to be playing the best teams. Conroy could move to 14, we have the numbers. Also, injuries are bound to occur in the next few games, so KW will be looking at the whole panel. No guarantees in Newbridge as Kildare will be no push overs btw, they will win some games yet and will not go down ez.

Such rubbish been talked at the moment about players not getting enough rest, these guys are well able for it. They're in their early twenties not early forties. Most guys would prefer to be playing matches rather than slogging around the field in training.

In Galway's last few matches against Kerry, they stood back admiring them, those games were over at half time. It's time we got stuck into them, they fell over the line against Donegal, bet a p*ss poor Mayo team and got bet well in Monaghan. Galway need to put down a marker on Sunday for the rest of the year

Galway (if they lose to Mayo which is a possibility) will have a long road through the qualifiers just to get to the Super 8's. I wouldn't sneer at resting guys for the odd match who have played an awful lot of football recently. Ultimately they have to be fit and able to perform in May and then later in the Summer.

Losing by 2 points is well beaten ?
Kerry will win this by 5/6 I reckon.
I always enjoy reading when Kerry win it's always some outside factor or is just pure luck.

Kerry have rightly so received a lot of credit for their league performances this season with so many younger players.

Galway were beaten before they went on the pitch last summer against Kerry, that is the managers fault.

Easy for you to say father from the comfort of your rectory but many of these guys could have had 3 games a week for the last month or more. I imagine the travelling is just as tiring as the games but with the college football over things may calm down a bit.

As regards the game on Sunday, hopefully we can fall over the line again but after the almighty hammering we got last Sunday confidence is at rock bottom. Im expecting a good contest though.

Il gladly take a falling over the line victory against a rampaging Galway on Sunday should it come our way , hopefully fitz will stick with the kerry young guns after the hammering we took at the weekend .

Ted in fairness Kerry will be happy with the performance of their young lads in Inishkeen in a very tight contest notwithstanding the defeat. They are going nicely no more than our young lads. I agree we did not believe last Summer and had the capability of pushing Kerry much harder. Despite that we missed 3 cleat goal chances which never helps an underdog. On Sunday I want to be very competitive with things gearing up nicely for May 13th.
