When will meath fans come to the realisation that they are an a very average side? Little to no underage success over the past 20 years yet meath people expect meath to be winning all irelands. Such expectations are unfair on both players and mgmt.

Agreed, and pity his mate was there which made him stay longer to detriment of those actually wanting to play.

When Meath had a two good performances in the first 2 match, there was no comment from kildare or Dublin supporters. Meath are beaten so of course our neighbours kildare and Dublin are out in force with alot to say. Very predictable. Expect many more comments to follow from kildare and Dublin supporters delighted at Meaths loss. They still want and need Meath to be beaten to enjoy their Sundays. Some things never change. Meath are not as good as we want in Meath yet, we are a work in progress. But we arent as bad as our neighbours want us so much to be and need us to be.

Is it just me or did he seem to have a poor attitude on the pitch, and was too reactionary with the crowd and opposing players?

Agreed, a bit surprised at the fuss about this.

Lots of mid tier to weaker counties with no change of provincial or All Ireland success have players that walk away and nothing is said. Don't see how this is any different.

You're right of course.

Meath being well beaten will always bring a big smile to my face. To say anything else would simply be untrue. So you're spot on.

But sure I had to watch my own county being hammered yesterday! So I know how you feel.. onwards and upwards though!

Well that's a lie, no Meath person expect Meath to win all ire. Btw just to correct you we did reach all ire final at minor few years back, most of that team are now on senior. And since when does underage success guarantee senior? Above anyone someone from Kildare should know that, how many false dawns as minor 21 and then flopped at senior has Kildare gotten?

Waoh...... jaysus lads how about "Well Done".."thanks for the effort an time".."hope it works out"....

But no...good auld pub talk , where you try to find every single negative possible.. "ya were sh** anyhow", "Only for your uncle"."Grown a pair", "rise above it" . And the funniest of all is to call him a whinger. Some would want to look in the mirror.

Beginning to think some dont understand what GAA is actually about...

But sure we only lost by 5 points, if we were Kildare we'd be slapping ourselves on the backs saying jasus lads that's was a great loss.

Jim I think you missed my point, I wasn't alluding to soccer type fans I was alluding to the money bought success of one county. And the actual rating of another :).

Can you please stop with these not very funny jokes. Leave the jokes to us Meath man. We might not be producing the great footballers we had in the past. But we do produce the greatest comedians this country have ever produced eg Tommy Tiernan Dylan Moran and many more. Leave the storytelling to us.
Why is a Fermanagh man so obsessed with Meath?. We have no rivalry whatsoever, and we have met very little. Would you not be better off to be more concerned about Tyrone Cavan Donegal and Armagh then Meath? Would you not be better off thinking and talking about how Fermanagh can beat Tyrone Armagh or Down or Donegal to win that elusive first ever provicial title. Why is a Fermanagh man with these jokes, (he found on the internet) so obsessed with a midlands leinster county that has no connection, rivalry, link with Fermanagh football wise whatsoever, it makes no sense.
