Fixtures

(Oldest Posts First)

Not to be critical, because the revamped website looks well, but how come there are no club fixtures up on it yet even though the website initially stated that fixtures would be available from February 9th?

They obviously need the county board to provide them with the fixtures before they can put them up. I heard they're was some rearranging done because of the O'Byrne cup final changing but they should be up this week

Why would the refixture effect club league games or championship dates?

considering our county board only give clubs 5 days notice of games, I cannot see them having fixtures up for the next few months

compare that to eg Galway, Dublin or Kilkenny where the whole year of games is already planned out and clubs and players can plan their seasons

I think that's very unfair valley84.
The fixtures were circulated in February by the county board the last two years.
I have been reliably told that they will be available over the next week.

it is not unfair
you don't generally know until less than a week before a game whether its on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
most lads have to change work.
and for the last few years you couldn't trust what was on the official county website for any underage or adult competition

That's madness if true. Gaps of two weeks, two weeks, three weeks after the first three rounds and then 3 games in ten days including a Wednesday night quarter final for the teams in it.

Hover over "Fixtures and Results" and the minor appears in the drop down menu
