Only a few days to go now, not going to go into much detail here but I have that gut feeling it will end a draw.

I'd be happy with a draw considering we'l be missing our two starting midfielders,

On another note Iv noticed that the Kerry and Monaghan ladies which was supposed to be part of our double header last week has been moved to blanchardstown there meeting halfway and it's a pity for the supporters that we'll travel that journey again to inniskeen nearly 1000 km round trip for a second week in a row.

I say now the Monaghan Tourist industry won't be too rich after the support that traveled from Kerry last weekend and doing so again this weekend.
But fair play to anyone who is making the same trip again.

And we are missing our best forward in McCarthy as McManus not match fit yet and probably not starting. Kerry better able to cope with their much bigger squad.

How long is McCarthy on the scene shelbourne? I can't place him at all , I read he scored 6 points the last night so he must be quite decent.

Where is doogan now ? Is he injured? Can't remember seeing his name on the team sheet last week.

We're down 3/4 from the Sigerson and 3 more from the Trench Cup Final which is on tomorrow so we have very been badly affected

It's a make an already huge challenge that much more difficult

The only hope for you is to look to have the game deferred. No Administration could be so cruel as to make fulfill the engagement in such circumstances/

McCarthy was one of the main men on the Ulster minor and u21 winning teams in '13 and '16. He'd have played a bit for the seniors in 2016 but it was really last year where he made a breakthrough. He was probably one of our best players even though he was mostly used as a sub, but he kicked alot of points off the bench and made a big impact in certain games. I'd imagine he'll be one of the first names on the forwards from now on though, he's too big a talent to leave as an impact sub. It might have been slow for him to get a proper crack on the senior team as he's on the smaller side, but he's been steadily maturing as a player the last few years and is well fit for it now.

It would be a good time for McCarron to find his league form of last year, and a chance for Garland to make a real impression aswell.

Any word on when Barry McGinn returns?

If your that badly stuck we can always lend you a few of our fringe players....seriously though Kerry are well served with midfield options...McCarthy ,the Monaghan Flyer, as headlined in the press after Wednesday semi final, is more important to us. Coupled with McManus not match fit and Kieran Hughes not even on the bench, then Monaghan are seriously disadvantaged. But are we complaining ? No.......opportunity to try out new players.........looks like a draw I think !

If McManus and McCarthy are not playing for Monaghan and with the Kerry team a bit unknown its hard to know which way this game will go.

Before the Mayo game I think most people expected them to beat us easily enough, so given the unknown nature of both teams, I think there wont be more then a point or two either way. It will be easier to predict once we know the starting lineups.

Monaghan did beat us a couple of times over the last number of years so hopefully we can come out on top as we have a couple more tough games coming up in the next few fixtures.
