Replying To longroadback:  "I would not suggest that the points are forfeited, but certainly home advantage could be, these games need to be played and if their is a suitable alternative it should be used"
Probably will be played in Cavan. This game should tell us more about where we are are at now. Hard to know from up and down matches. However, we may be seeing some green shoots with Lavin ,McGill,Conlon, mc Keever and midfield improving. We will give it everything from the start in an effort to score more than they do. Dont expect to see anyone standing back with our fitness levels giving us the edge this time.

Big acid test this one, is there progress or another false dawn, no doubt Paddys interview will grate with a lot of players and certainly management. no doubt they will try to use it as a motivation. I'm hopeful we are on the up

Replying To Royalio11:  "Will the pitch be playable between now and then.

Perhaps you can shed some light on which 'senior' players left/injured from team who we would be familiar with."
The pitch should be fine. Relax lads, I think the nerves are getting to ye!!

I would never want to give an edge to opposition, especially ye or those Monaghan shower but I dont think informing you of some key men missing will offer any insight. The following are former key players or players with big potential and some are gone for the second year now...

David Givney
Eugene Keating
Rory Dunne
Mossy Corr
Martin Dunne
Michael Argue
Gerry Smith
Alan Clarke
Niall McDermott
Jack Brady
James McEnroe

Most of the above had been either big parts of our squad when we got the the All Ireland quarter final in 2013. A couple hit the scene more recently.

But we'll manage. Anyway, im sure you'd have heard of a few of them and we have some good young lads who want to play for us now and we will be competitive in division 2 although we have much tougher tests to come than Clare and Louth.

Maybe. But that case why not confirm its the same team that was announced last week. As some players where playing for there clubs last weekend, and might have picked up knocks.

Just want to wish Andy Bryan all the players and management the best for today. We can win this and lay down a marker for our future intentions.

We need a repeat of the 2nd half form v Clare but can't see Cavan folding that easy so a change of approach to more direct football required.

So game looks almost gone for us at this stage which is disappointing. Need to see the fighting spirit evident in the closing stages of the Roscommon game because with score difference important in a tight division, we need to cut this deficit big time.

Very very disappointing! Really fancied Meath to win today.. Game over after 15 mins ! We could have taken the division by the scruff of the neck today and completely blew it ! Another dreadfull away day for Meath which is the norm these days ! Anyway not giving up on them yet Andy is doing good things and were not out of it yet ! Get a win next week and build again !

Very poor today. Very flat especially in the first half. Slow, ponderous, little running off the ball. Giving away simple scores. Cavan were always gonna be up for this, but why weren't Meath?
We can't rely on fitness to win every game.
Well done Cillian O'Sullivan tried to take the fight to Cavan. It's time Biggy is benched just hasn't got the fight when things are going wrong.
Must win game against Tipp, otherwise promotion is gone. But we will need a far better performance than we seen today. Very disappointing that the workrate levels dropped considerably.

Tough to watch. No tactics, no back up plan. Too late with changes.

Not gonna comment on game. However it was a disgrace to see a supporter throwing stuff on to the field.

There was tactics...

I would be asking why the players couldn't match the workrate of Cavan.
