Dublin v Kildare Jan 27th

Now that the mickey mouse tournaments are finsihing up , the real stuff is beginning again. This is I think a massive game not just for Kildare but for the rest of Leinster too. The Dubs have been on a holiday for the last couple of weeks while Kildare have been slogging it out for the last 8 weeks. If we go up to dublin and take a bad beating I think it could really effect us. If the second best team in Leinster cant put it up to half fit dublin team then there is no hope. That being said we have a good team in kildare that is improving all the time and looking forward most people are positive but next saturday v dublin is massive. Nervously looking forward to it..

Am looking forward to it aswell.Would do away with those Mickey mouse tournaments if it was up to me.
Kildare have a good side and will no doubt be well ahead in terms of preparation. I think Dublin will coast a bit in the league this year and hope to get into the final shake up. Kildare have a great chance to catch us cold if they have been working as hard as you say in the run up to this game.

Looking forward to it as well, Dublin Vs Kildare was one of the most enjoyable games of football for me last year.

I actually think Kildare might sneak this, think they have played a bit more football then Dublin during the winter and have a few lads who have come back from injury and will be hungry for this to push onto to the panel.

That said i wonder will they miss any of the Moorfield lads.

Dublin where doing a good bit of warm qeather training in south Africa and are in decent shape. I expect them to go very strong against kildare similar to Cavan last year when everyone expected a bit of an experimental side but barring niall scully it was pretty strong ..

Kildare look to be strong but I still give them another few months till they can get around to beating Dublin.
As much as I would love to see Kildare beating Dublin, I just don't think they are there just yet.
Dublin 4+

Dublin to win by 8+
Kildare will probably target other games to pick up enough points to stay up which I think they will do.

Dublin to win by 10, a professional team will almost always beat an ameture team.

I'm just can't wait for the season to get started, it will definitely give us an idea on where Kildare are in terms of competing with Dublin in Leinster. Only one more week now!

All the advantages lie with Kildare in terms of prep.

Dubs have been on holidays and they may have done a bit of training but I'm sure there was plenty of cocktails on the go too.

I want to see a fresh young Dubs team start and give Basquel, O'Gara, P Small, Byrne, McHugh etc a good run out

I'd be happy enough just to stay up and be competitive enough, it wouldn't bother me much if we lost a couple of games

Try and blood young players while being as competitive as possible, resting older lads, and then slowly reintroducing players a few games in.

Not at all we accepted we got hammered, pity the media don't do same to other counties.

Whatever the result is it will have as much bearing as our league game with Tyrone last year.

Well to be fair we were only in second gear ourselves in our league opener this time last year. Remember what happened that night? 15pt romp home in Navan! Up with the big boys now though:)

Dublin might be a little bit cold with so many players missing pre season.
That said they should beat a dude who flatters to deceive.

Interesting game this one, kildares record against Dublin in last 4 or 5 years has been poor but there's no doubt Kildare are finally starting to catch them, hard game to call if Dublin arnt match fit then Kildare can beat them, which would be a big result for Kildare to finally get one over on the dubs, Kildare by one, I've a fealing I'm going to get slaughtered for that prediction from some of fellow county posters
