All I want if your respect and approval, I just feel compelled to point these things out because I feel strongly about them. Please, please don't hold it against me. If I promise to be good, and not mention all this again, will you and the others still talk to me? Please say you will, I'm so terribly desperate for all of you to put click those green thumbs at the end of my post. All I want is your respect. Don't end it like this Liam, please don't :("
Petulance to go with ignorance, now that's has me wondering people come on here for a variety of reasons , for some a laugh , others WUM , some actually like GAA , for some five minutes of mattering , majority have one thing in common while disagreeing with each other most I'd feel would at least want to be respected, you have shown you don't need nor seek you are your own man , an island , man with a castle , which would lead me to ask what the hell are you doing on this site

God forbid that we stay on point when Kerry's finances are put under the microscope.
Imagine being a chairman of Wicklow, Leitrim or Fermanagh county boards and reading that email from GAA - "give us €5k so we can help fund a centre of excellence in Tralee" and answering "Yes I will because Dublin get all the other money"
Isn't this your argument Hermit??

There could be a drop of claret served up the way things are going.

Cute hoors engage in quality feat of cute hoorism, to later be accused of cute hoorism. You can't make that up!

Sorry wunderbar your gone off topic as this is a Kerry bashing thread.

So back to the bashing, we're doing a bord na nóg collection outside mass tonight and it's €5 to get in but you'll be gaurenteed a seat once your in early and you'll be able to receive communion once you've had confession.

I think the title of this thread wasn't great for getting a good discussion on this.

It was antoginistic from the get go.

I don't really understand why it is a big deal that the GAA set this on to the county boards

Yes it will benefit Kerry but I mean Kerry folk have organised it.

Some county boards will want to take a table. They are getting something out of it. Buy a table for an event like this can get a lot out of it themselves. It's a relatively cheap way to entertain any of your current sponsors for instance. 10 or 12 to a table you are probably entertaining 4 to 5 different representatives from sponsors. Give them something back for helping out. It may help in the long run.

With an event like this as far as I would know I don't think any county would look bad if they weren't represented. It's GAA related in that M O'M is a GAA personality but it's clearly an external event.
