All roads lead to Kenny Park Athenry Sunday 4th November for the eagerly awaited Co. Senior Hurling Semi Finals!!
St. Thomas' v Sarsfields......... the South Galway men Thomas' winners in '12 and '16 should have too much for their East Galway rivals Sars winners in '15!
Verdict St. Thomas'
Cappataggle v Liam Mellows.......... the East Galway men Cappy Intermediate winners in '14 and one of the most improved Senior teams have been playing with no fear this year and their tough path to the Semi Final should stand to them against the City club Mellows winners in '17!
Verdict Cappataggle

Expecting a big crowd in Athenry Sunday, for what could be 2 cracking games.I'd expect St Tomas' to have too much for Sarsfields.... and I would fancy Cappy to cause an upset against the holders.

Thomas's should win it now, in my opinion they have more scoring threat than Mellowes who rely far too much on Haran.
Felt sorry for Cappy the last day, they left it behind and I think would have been better opposition to Thomas's in the final.

I agree and Skehill missing the penalty and two frees didn't help Cappy either who really should have won the match. Thomas' should win the final handy and have a right cut at the All Ireland

I'd expect Thomas' to win, but I wouldn't say anything will be handy. Mellows have proven that last year was no flash in the pan, and they're a very dogged side.
Gort were strong favourites last year, but got ground down. On a dry hard pitch, I'd make Thomas' strong favourites, but at this time of year, I think it'll be a lot tighter.

I would agree that Thomas's are favourites but Mellows are stubborn opposition and along with Haran, Conor Kavanagh and Aonghus Callinan are also useful forwards on their day. I also think they have improved a lot on last year.

As a neutral in Kenny Park the last day with a crowd of 6000 aprox at least 5500 were shouting for Cappy who in my view made Mellows look fairly ordinary and if they weren't so wasteful and a bit more cuter when winning the match in the dying minutes then that would have been the end of Mellows. Before last Sunday the only big test Mellows got was the group game against Thomas' which they lost by 9pts and could easily have lost by 14 or 15pts only for missing a few goal chances

Well the County Final is upon us at last! Not sure will it match the attendance of the County Semi Finals! But for me it's St. Thomas' to win and I hope Conor Cooney gives a master class display as he some hurler to watch when he clicks!

Absolutely and when the County Finals used to be rotated every 3rd year between St.Brendans Park Loughrea, The Duggan Park Ballinasloe and Kenny Park Athenry there was always a wonderful atmosphere with 10,000 plus in attendance
