Can see the Cavan game played instead of this. Maybe I'm wrong. But it would make sense. On the other hand if bnm have a agreement with gaa about this game it could go ahead

It would make sense to play Cavan game next weekend. But I not sure that's going to happen. Cavan game will probably be played in the next break in the leauge. But that would Leave Meath in bad position with not break at all then.

With no League for 2 weeks now, I wonder if we will play our first team for this one now.

O'Byrne Cup Final now fixed for 13th May in Mullingar at 2.00 followed by Joe McDonagh Cup Hurling game between the same two counties.

Ideal time for a competitive game with the championship only two weeks away. A lot better than a challenge game.

Game should be treated as a Leinster proper game.

Obviously there is the risk of potential injuries however it would build proper momentum prior to the Longford game

Lol. Jesus if it's canceled again we will have to give up.
Pitch is actually a good drainage pitch, although we all remember that terrible day, and that fantastic Sheridan point in a downpour.

This game is actually perfect prep for Longford tbh. I would say both teams are of similar standard and it's also away, so we should see a taster of champ type football here.

I agree aswell. Ive always said as have alot of people, if you're not prepared to do the work & play for your county and wear that jersey with pride then jog on.

I agree 100% with everything he says. Paddy O'Rourke's comments were his opinion, which he should have kept to himself as they have done absolutely no one any good what so ever, apart from himself and a few other lazy people who like to keep the negative narrative going towards county football. Any half decent club player or general fitness enthusiast is putting in 5/6 days a week (Collectively/Individually) into there training/preparation for there chosen sport and I can guarantee they don't get the luxuries Mr O'Rourke would have been getting when training with Meath, i.e. Top class coaches, top class meals provided after every session/match, a team of doctors/physios, gym membership, nutritonist's, gear and many more we don't hear about. Meath's time will come again and it will be people like Andy McEntee that we will be thankful to for remaining at the coal face when times were tough instead of taking the easy option and walking away and putting the feet up.
