Diarmuid byrnes missed half the year with injury. Don't know how you can include him. Plus you left out Paul o Brien who had a fantastic season for the Limerick minors. Paul o Brien and Seamus hickey would be in the team of the year.

I think he means this is his team for 2018.

This topic is confusing. This is his team for 2018?? Eoin mc and Adrian breen aren't even on the panel for 2018. Does he mean its his best team of 2017 based on there performance for club/county??

That is a decent team. The management have invested a full year in Hannon at 6 so that will not change. I'm not convinced about Hegarty as a forward but I won't rite him off just yet. I would have Gillane in the corner. I know he played all his hurling on the wing but he is a finisher and I would have him close to the goals.

Think it would be far bigger mistake not to play Hayes at 6. He is the only real contender for the position imo. I'd start Colin Ryan along way before O Donoghue at me dfield and I'd like to see Downes tried at 11. With Hannon at 15 I think Dowling will struggle

I didn't utter the word mistake in my post. I won't disagree with you about Hayes but I think management will stick with Hannon having entrusted him with number 6 last season. It would be no good for his confidence to move him to corner forward now. Anyway, why would you play him in the corner or where is the evidence that he can play there? And don't mention the Fitzgibbon with Mary I because despite what Cregan said, Hannon played every game at full forward in that campaign bar the final.

I think he's referring to my assertion that'd it be a bad idea to play k Hayes at 6 rather than anything you said. I still say Hayes would serve us better up front and also think that's where he will be played.I wasn't a big fan of hannon at 6 if I'm to be honest as I'm not sure if he likes the rough and tumble that a 6 must deal with but he does have the hurling for that position and if he's coached to deliver a better ball to suit his forwards then I think he can do more for us at 6.

I'd play Hegarty in his Fathers position at number 6. Hayes centre or the wing. Hannon corner foward or the bench for me.

I don't see the point in playing both gillane and Dowling. Pick one our the other and let them at free taking duty. I'd pick gillane to start as he covers more ground. Dowling would be a strong sub to have 20 mins to go.

Colin Ryan and K Hayes were stand out U 21 players in Munster championship last year. No one doubts Hayes will make it why are more nit selecting Ryan? For me he is our stand out option at midfield.
