Great servant to the game. Was a very good player in his prime.

Dillon has been a great servant for our county and doesn't owe Mayo fans anything. Not interested in debating where he stands as a great Mayo forward.

I was responding to another dung post from a poster again questioning why a player is walking away. He must be a wum, at least I hope he is because only a delusional person wouldn't understand why Dillon wouldn't fancy another year of it. He won't get any game time, and just comparing him with Andy as if every player is the same is laughable.

He's had a lot of disappointment on final days and unfortunate not to have a winners medal.
Probably couldn't see himself getting game time again and at 35 he's had enough.
Best of luck to him.

Ok Stephen whatever you think.

Tomas O Se walked away after '13 couldn't forgive himself from missing out on '14 and this a player with 5 All Ireland's in the bag, imo any player walking away from this Mayo team who are an inch away from Dublin is crazy and if Mayo win he'll never forgive himself. Dillon for me is easily Mayo's greatest forward the only player to give James McCarthy a roasting. Class act but I'm a wum now cause the Mayo Mafia don't agree with me. Yew tree how dare you call me a wum you know I'm on here years and am no wum. I give my honest opinion I'm a Gaa man involved with my local club which is the same club as Jim Gavin.
