Dr Crokes v Nemo Rangers

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Great win for Nemo. Luke Connolly was outstanding. He is outstanding. This was a big one for Cork football. Dr Cokes are a brilliant side. Worthy All Ireland champions and they took some beating. Nemo believed they were going to win. They had a right to believe because their record suggests they should be winning. I just hope other Cork football teams can get that mentality. The last few years have been terrible. In most matches, we have not been mentally right. In games against Tipperary, Kerry, Roscommon, Waterford, Kildale we just mentally gave up. Hope today was a turning point. A signal to the rest of the county to get on with it. We have loads of good players. We just need belief.

Yes...teams from Kerry and Dublin are out. ...although Crokes looked like a junior football team. Gaps as big as a haybarn in their defence.
Slaughtneil and Corofin look very good. Some good games ahead.

Great win for Nemo. Dominated the game for the most part. Crokes were poor. O'Leary was awful until his sending off and Cooper was very poor. He kept coming out and demanding the ball only to kick the ball away time and time again.

Luke Connolly was the star of the show today though. Magnificent from start to finish.

Enjoyed the game. Well done to Nemo. Unlucky Crokes.
Nemo deserved it. I thought Crokes looked a very frustrated team. What was O'Leary at with them two fouls. Deserved red. I thought the No 7 White I think his name was could of been sent off a few times over. Spent the game rolling about the ground. Cooper as well chased the red on a few occasions roaring at him. I personally thought the ref was generally good. A few calls he got wrong maybe but generally good.
What is the draw for semi's??

Great win for Nemo the way better team through out, let's be honest Crokes were lucky winners last year against 14 men Slaughtneil. Is Gavin White related to the ref how the hell did he stay on the pitch?

Crokes are a good side but very lucky to win against Slaughtneill last year as I have no doubt that without the sending off the would have lost. Nemo were very good today although there were some strange incidents in the match with head high tackles

Congratulations to Nemo, great win and Connolly was excellent.

Just watched the game now as I was in Tralee watching An Gaeltacht win the intermediate Munster championship.

Crokes are an excellent team but like our county team can't handle it when being run at directly .

All in all it's good news for the county team as our crokes boys will get a rest and be ready to go for the league.

Fair play to Nemo Rangers on a great win. Luke Connolly was a joy to watch and Paul Kerrigan took the game to Crokes from the off. How many of this Nemo squad are involved with the Cork seniors? It would be great if they could translate over to county next season and seriously challenge Kerry.

Our Seanie did alright yesterday.
Missed a couple of things alright but you won't see everything.
Thought his fellow officials could've done more to help him.
He must've had a pain in his ear listening to Cooper whingeing non stop.

Great win for Nemo, who could've won by a lot more, and just what Cork football needed.

I really enjoyed the game yesterday.

Seems like Marc O Se didn't like the criticism of Cooper in the match report in the indo. He should remember that there has been an unwritten rule that amateur gaa players don't get savaged by the media but
