Agree footie mad , none of the rochfortbridge players are up to county standard the cullys are to small lyster has the size but very limited eoin gorman is only really a good free taker doesn't like the physical stuff, coyne milltownpass had an ok year but hasn't played a lot of football with his ankles, not a lot of new talent at intermediate level

I thought the lad who played full forward for Shandonagh (dont know his name) looked like a really good player, but I only saw him in the Final. Maybe others have seen him more.

That's a slap in the face for Rbridge and Shandonagh who have some lovely footballers, and deserve a chance around a county squad.

Surely some of the Kinnegad lads deserve a chance?

Find it very strange that Kinnegad and the downs will only have 2 or 3 county players possibly on the panel between them. As for Kinnegad which i watched twice this year.Ger Leech and Daren Giles are as good as any in the county. Young James Maxwell was impressive aswell. The same as joe moran from downs. Both just out of minor but showed great running games espes vs Killucan. Didn't seem to mind getting involved with the big boys. Could they push for senior after U20 or even sooner ?Strange that two semi finalists probably won't have a county first 15 again this year. Just shows that westmeath goes by reputation

Westmeath Talent.

If the Westmeath team had the spirit that St Lomans showed to day they would be back in business.
The name of the game is keep going until the final whistle

Fair play to lomans for pulling this one out of the fire and setting up a semi v Colm O'Rourke's Simonstown in Cusack Park in 2 weeks. Heslin was obviously the man but Paddy Dowdall got the winner !

Hopefully that game will bring them on. Lukes management record would be well ahead of Colm O Rourkes. It's on the pitch that matters though.

Great win for Lomans yesterday, had to dog it out and rode their luck for a while. Got the breaks at the right time but an away win against the Longford champions is not to be sniffed at. Leinster wide open now after Rathnew beating Vincents, who saw that coming ?. Great chance for Lomans to reach a Leinster final and possibly win Leinster but all four teams will fancy their chances and rightly so.

Ger leech and Giles of Kinegead
Whealan,Ronan o toole Lomans
Barrett,McCallon Gcastle
Reid Athlone
Moran Mitchell Loughlin The Downs
Damien Carroll Rosemount
Nugent Fitzpatrick Dolan Castledaly

Be great to see Loughlin in but like others have said can't see them managing him, also love to see Castledaly's Lorcan Dolan given a proper chance both are two of the best scoring forwards in the county at senior level.

Paddy Dowdall be great for westmeath if he would play football. Loughlin deserves a chance as does conor sleving Tpass.

Conor slevin is an excellent addition, had a great year with T pass would have liked to see Cathal Dunne brought on for the experience acquitted himself very well this years champion and must be well over 6ft. Also Dean Micnolas has to be an addition if available.

Paddy must be 35, he quit county hurling to focus on his clubs, doubt he'd consider county football.

So is there some sort of squad back? I expect no Lomans lads will be involved yet. Are any players from Multy involved?
