Replying To GDL:  "Rosfan, have Brigids improved from the 14 points they got beaten by last year by Corofin. There was big talk here in Galway that Corofin may have gone back following the Semi final against Annaghdown, but their performance in the county final made a mockery of that notion and they looked stronger than last year. If Brigids have improved that much the bookies haven't noticed looking at the Connacht betting with Corofin at 5/6. Are the men from Kiltoom that improved?"
Rossfan, I have to agree with GDL. I think Brigid's are a team in decline. Way off their All Ireland winning team of 2013. As for Ulster championship, I don't think Slaughtneil are 'home and hosed' by any means. They will be pushed majorly by Kilcar, but I think they'll get over that hurdle, and I think that's the true Ulster decider!

Cavan Gaels almost had Slaughtneil a few years ago and they are a better balanced team this year.
They won't be far away in Ulster

Was it Kerry man Darragh O'connell that got man of the match clondalkin?

Destroys Dicksboro "on his own"?

I'm sure the rest of the Cuala lads will enjoy reading that!!

Ros1, I wouldn't dismiss Brigids either but the question I asked was have they improved from the 14 point defeat last year. We will see on Sunday. On the two other occasions they beat Corofin one was with a very late goal in the Hyde and the other was the infamous game in Kiltoom and the disallowed Corofin goal and the performance or non performance of the referee.

Are Cavan Gaels already in the final? Who did they beat in the semi-final?

Hurling - Cuala
Football - Slaughtneil/St. Vincents
It is very difficult for Slaughtneil as it is practically the same group of players who are representing the club in the hurling competition. Injuries and tiredness could wreck their chances. Dublin may very well do the double.

Who did the MotM go to? Thought Con's brother Cian was as good as anyone on the field.

Brigids have been in decline since 2013 but that is now arrested and I think they are on the way back. I dont believe they will beat Corofin next Sunday but will make inroads on the gap from last year.
There is a truckload of talent coming through the underage ranks in Brigids and they will compete at the highest level again in the near future with careful management.

They are playing The Fermanagh Champions Derrygonnelly in the semi-final who are a very good team so there is absolutely no guarantee that they will reach the final. some people are getting ahead of themselves.

Really looking forward to this evening's Kilcar V Slaughtneil game.
The forecast is good, no wind or rain & while we are underdogs, the bookies don't see much in it.
We need to perform to the same level as we did against Scotstown & if we do then we are in with a great chance, anything less than that won't be good enough.
Kilcar by two.
