Think we need to get 12 virgins to dance around newgrange to lift the course.
On second thoughts it will probably be easier to get Louth to win a Leinster than find 12 Meath virgins :)."
Any reason why these virgins have to be female? Because if male one will do, a forum devoted to talking about football is probably a good place to start looking !

Easy to talk about curses but the reality is Meath football has been exceptionally poor. The exodus of players this winter has a real nail in the coffin feeling for Meath football. Accepted I wont see us win an All Ireland in my lifetime again. We're the new Kildare.

2 players (Jones and O Caoilean) is hardly an exodus!!! Keoghan will be back ater his masters is finished which is understandable and Harnan is still only a rumour at the moment!! Even if he isn't, then its 3 players for the year and 4 for the league!!

Don't bother supporting the team if that is your view.

We cant absorb those numbers. Dublin losing 3/4 is water off a ducks back to them, not for a limited team like Meath.

From what I hear not all of the players leaving the panel are walking away, some have been invited to walk away, O'Caolain and Jones are big losses,

According to the Meath Chronicle Harnan gone for 18 months. I think the league is more important than championship for Meath, but losing Keoghan would be a serious blow to any chance of promotion.

worthy inclusions surely given how they've done in the last couple of years.

TBH would like to see Kane and Gallagher in too, perhaps they are but don't know. I think McGeever gives you massive workrate has an eye for goal and is reasonably strong physically.

yeah was talking to a lad from Wolfe tones during the week who seemed to know what he on about and he also gave them 2 names from simonstown (tho i doubt if they would be in yet, with them still involved in leinster) along with Glynn from the Tones, Halligan from Rathkenny and Ferguson from kells. he said there were others but those were the ones he was sure of.

It's hard to believe Kane and Gallagher wasn't called in if it's true. Kane was asked in last year but couldn't commit, and he hasn't gotten worse since last year so why not ask him again? When I hear of some of the other players being called in it's a joke he wasn't asked in.

Interesting stuff.. Wonder how Forde is getting on with his injury. How old is Glynn?

I've read a lot of nonsense on here. But I think yours is the most nonsensical post, for what I presume wasn't a tongue in cheek, but a serious comment.
My advice ? stay at home don't go to matches.

Royalbadger count yourself lucky that you have seen your county win an All Ireland. There are plenty of people who did not and will not see their county win an All Ireland.

Writing off meaths chances of winning an all ireland for decades to come because two regular starters and a few subs have left the panel, shocking what a losers attitude
