League predictions

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

It can only be guesswork at this stage. It's difficult to know how much experimentation we will see from the top teams, but I'll have a guess anyway.

Di Tyrone v Kerry or Dublin
Kildare and Mayo in danger of relegation (Mayo have to give their star players a break over the league)

D2 Roscommon v Tipperary or Cork
Down and Meath in danger here

D3 Fermanagh v Armagh
Offally and Wexford to go down

D4 Carlow v Limerick

Not a hope mate. I think they may get promotion but it's a tight division and if they do be by the skin there teeth. Saying they will walk division against a league containing a side who embarrassed them in a humiliating home defeat 2 years ago is laughable

Dublin vs Kerry. Dublin easy run with 4 at home. Kerry with a few young guns out to prove a point.
Monaghan and Donegal to go down.

Roscommon and Down
Clare and Louth

Derry and Armagh

Antrim and Carlow

Love to agree with you about Tyrone getting to final but with 4 away games and 3 at home including Dublin and Kerry I can't see it. I feel they will pick u enough points to stay up. Hope I'm wrong.

I don't know too much about divs 2,3,4 but il make a bold prediction that div 1 will be an upside down division in 2018 , I think coz of the new championship structures that teams like ourselves Tyrone Mayo and Dublin could finish in the bottom half of the table with of ourselves Tyrone and Mayo to go down.

I think Galway Kildare Monaghan and Donegal will go hell for leather and I can see Monaghan winning it out.

Mayo have been a division 1 team since the 1990's and are the longest serving team in the division. We won't be going full tilt in the league that is why we usually scrape in but last year only missed out on the semi's by one point. It is always tight in division 1....no team can be written off as winners or for relegation (except Dublin). Mayo will stay up though.

I think we will win all of our games. It is only 7 and 4 are at home.

It is only an opinion and it is only November. It is also only division 2 where we are all at. We all deserve to be there and we are miles off the better division 1 sides.

We have new management. Our last set up was farcical, pitiful, shambolic and totally undeserving of support from the Cork GAA public. The noises coming out of the camp at the moment are positive. People are being cut. Things are looking fresh. I go to a lot of club football matches st all levels and I know we have talented players. I feel that we have a management that will get the best young players on the field and loads of lads from last year will be cut which is so badly needed.

For what it is worth, I think Roscommon are the other team that will go up. I think they will win 6 games and may win final in Croke Park. The most difficult game will be our trip to the Hyde. It will be like a championship game and I look forward to it. We got a hammering from Roscommon the last time so we owe them one and is the game where the team must really show that they have some character. Let us see if they have or not.

Of course, it could happen that next Spring we more of the same. Perhaps the noise from the camp at present is just noise and we the same tired, mentally scarred players on the field again. If so I can will reappraise. For now though my prediction is not that bold. I didn't say we will win the All Ireland and it is better than cute hoorism nonsense surely.

Expecting Loftus, Coen ,and they very talented Shane Nally to make the step-up next season having had their maiden season bedding in.
Boland is another i expect to make the cut however hes a little behind the rest regards development.
Another comfortable mid-table finish is on the cards.

Andy second year in charge , very unlucky not to be Promoted last year (but then again you make your own luck sometimes) a few additional players (2 Conlon's for certain) perhaps a change at number 1. Burlingham looking good in club championship and must be given serious consideration.
That I feel with what's there should be enough to see promotion achieved.
