I see most posters tipping Galway to stay up, personally I would LOVE that to be the case, BUT I don't think they will. But its Galway so who knows?!!! We are eager lads!! Think Kildare will do ok in D1. Donegal were so poor in summer it is hard to see them staying up but u never know. Depends how teams target the league. I would love to get Kerry early but looks like we haven't. They always seem to start slowish. Could be a dog fight. Not a lot between Galway/Kildare/Donegal/Monaghan. On any given day they can all be muck. Don't think Tyrone or Mayo are too far off that group either. They are better but could be beaten any any of them. Dublin top of the pile by a long way. Meath are targeting promotion to div 1 as there main objective for 2018 from what I'm hearing anyway, so surely they be there or thereabouts for promotion, Div 1 Dublin v Kerry final ( I'll actually give Kildare my darkhourse bet they have a bit of momentum going for them and like Meath they be targeting the league as one of there main objectives) Relegated Galway Monaghan (picking these two but it's hard to tell very strong div 1 this year) Div 2 meath,Cavan final (might be letting my heart rule here but I think Meath be very fit for the start of the league which should just do it) Relegated Louth,Clare (I honestly hope I'm wrong about Louth I like Pete McGrath I'm hoping he does well with them) Div 3 Armagh Derry final ( massive failure from these two if they don't get promoted) Relegated Offaly Wexford ( Wexford a certainty to go back down in my opinion, Offaly don't seem to be getting any better) Div 4 Laois carlow final ( Carlow to build on there form from 2017 and Laois lets be honest what the hell are they doing in div 4) Royal.Legend (Meath) - Posts: 665 - 17/10/2017 16:53:13 2055803 Link

I predict the whole thing will be a damp squib in both hurling and football, the top teams especially will be experimenting like crazy, and because of this, one of the less successful sides in both codes, who will be really targeting the league -- will go on to win it. The real league now -- and the only one that matters to the top teams -- is the Super 8's in football and the provincial round robins in hurling. It can only be guesswork at this stage. It's difficult to know how much experimentation we will see from the top teams, but I'll have a guess anyway.
