Ulster Club Competition

Derrygonnelly put it up to Slaughtenill last year , 2 pts the difference. There won't be much in it. The Jones brothers good ballers, Conal only back from Australia recently.
They didn't have him last year in Ulster. 1-5 against Armagh Harps.

How are people writing off a team that has got to two all ireland finals in the last couple of years against a donegal team who have played one ulster match in 25-30 years?

Mystery as Slaughtneil are proven.

Have been to a lot of grounds over the last couple of months and Breffni has to be one of the worst pitches I've stepped on. Im not sure who's responsibility it is but something needs to be done in the future to look after it. From the outside looking in better field management and maintenance crew is needed.

The Ham you of all of 8 posts and a novice in your new handle takes the staff at Breffni Park to task for the state of the Pitch.
If you live locally you will understand that we had one of the worst summers with a high rainfall . Look at the state of the Farmers fields Silage being cut in Mid October sure Breffni could not survive the abuse of all the games.
I say if you feel the need be big enough and apologise to the words of better field management and maintenance crew needed.
As for other poster youse have all stood idly bye and allowed the ground staff to be slated.
So before further ado be big enough and do the right thing

unfortunately the 2 best teams are meeting in the semi-final. either of Slaughtneil or Kilcar would beat the pick of Derrygonelly or Cavan Gaels.

I fancy the Gaels to win it out. 5/1 is very good value

You seem to forget Slaughtneil only beat Cavan Gaels by 2points up in Derry three years ago.
Anything can happen in a final and all of Cavan should be out supporting Cavan Gaels who are representing there County.

It's little fella you have to talk about for we pride ourselves in having one of the best pitches in the country ask Donegal Monaghan Tyrone Dublin Tipperary and best of all Croke Park have complemented me and the County Board on the excellent condition of our pitch and have stated they would be happy to play or use the park going forward. (One cannot legislate for weather conditions)
Sadly for one reason or another the pitch has been over used that goes without saying and there is no way that it could stand up to all the traffic.
The weather has not been in our favor either so all in all it's not too bad. If your posts are being directed towards me I feel you better do your home work first. Find out what has been allowed on the pitch for example development squads Camogie training sessions Ladies training sessions hurling training session senior minor and U21 training sessions this is even before a game has been mentioned, then when you have time up and including this weekend how many games will have been played on the pitch this you will find includes a few All Ireland 1/4 and simi finals.
You are aware but I expect not that there will be a completely new surface to play on late 2018 and I expect that the number of matches that never are played on the county ground will be sorted next year.
As for me

As for me circumstances of a personal nature got in my way but now that I am almost back in full swing I hope things will get back to normal. If you are trying to upset me I can tell you there is not a pigs chance in hell of you doing this. Get your facts right before you start mouthing.

Good luck to the Gaels on Sunday. With a bit of luck and if they hold their discipline I'd fancy them to reach their 1st final in 39 years.
There plenty of talent and experience within their panel to see them through.

Gaels discipline let them down again in Ulster. Poor enough game. The standard was
a lot lower then last night .

The sending off looked a bit harsh , yellow at most. Black cards were deserved.Gaels were up 4 at that stage.
It's vital to keep 15 on field in club championship football.
Draw was probably a fair result , there wasn't much between them especially after the sending off.
Both teams should learn from it makes for another interesting game.

the sending off was 100% the right decision!!!...
ffs its Gaelic football theirs an excellence to marking a player out of the game like Mickey jones did to seanie johnston for long periods but..my god..the switch Cavan gaels made at half time on conal jones? wtf was that? he would of been aswel of in an mma ring..he deserves his marching orders well before he got them

Defo not a red. the lad made a meal out of it and meant the linesman had to take action. the same player was doing the same to Barry Fortune a few minutes beforehand but he didn't hit the deck on that occasion.
