Not forgetting the famous Ballyragget who make their return to Leinster action against Ardclough in Newbridge!

Hopefully I'll still be shouting this on St Patricks Day next year. First though, there's the not so small task of beating Cuala next Sunday in Parnell Park"
It was not to be, Congratulations to Cuala; it'll take a special team to stop them retaining their All-Ireland title. As for the 'Boro', there're a young team and will improve. Up the Boro!

Congrats indeed. Ballyhaunis nearly did it last year.

No real surprises in the senior club hurling championship today. Cuala V St. Martin's & MLR V Kilcormac/Killoughey in Leinster semifinals, I think? NaP's V Ballygunner in Munster Final.

I think cuala could go all the way again. Made Boro look very average. Cuala have the potential to win 2-3 All Ireland if they can get out of Dublin where they have had their hardest matches for last two years. Once they get out they seem to have it much easier to beat teams which is a credit to Dublin club hurling.

Its hard to see anything except a Na Piarsaigh v Cuala final. I was at the Ballygunnar match yesterday and they deserved their win but they could have easily lost. Sixmilebridge let in a
desperately soft goal to give the initiative away. Na Piarsaigh won t have it their own way but they have too many options to change a game. The Leinster championship looks as weak as water this year. Cuala and N.a. Piarsaigh in a battle royale on St Patrick's day

Couldn't agree with you more, my thoughts exactly.

What are the thoughts on the Munster final and Leinster semi-finals this weekend? Ballygunner left it late against Sixmilebridge after trailing for large parts of the game. The Gunner have clocked up a fair bit of mileage in the past few months when playing nine games in as many weeks. They will need Brian O'Sullivan back fully fit but his replacement from the start the last day JJ Hutchinson proved to the match winner. Na Piarsaigh are coming in fresh having tossed aside a poor Blackrock team three weeks after beating Kilmallock handy enough. Shane Dowling is no major loss with two All-Ireland U21 winners stepping in for him.

As for the Leinster semi finals, I think Cuala should have a bit too much for St Martin's. The All Ireland champions dealt with Dicksboro easy enough and I expect a similar outcome in this one. Con O'Callaghan is a joy to watch and had a hand in nearly all of their scores. From what I hear St Martin's are a team for the future having had lots of underage success in recent years. Kilcormac Killoughey were at their poorest in the first half against a weakened Castletown Geoghegan side but they knuckled down to win by six. Mount Leinster Rangers had the same winning margin over Camross although the contest was much closer than the scoreline suggests. I seen that Eddie Byrne and Denis Murphy are doubts for MLR on Sunday. The game being in Tullamore might swing it for KK.

Also on this weekend is the Munster intermediate final between Kilmaley and Kanturk and the Leinster intermediate semi finals featuring Kiltale v Ballyragget and Glenealy and St Anne's of Wexford. Any thoughts on those games?

You'd have to fancy nap over ballygunner I'd agree dowling loss isn't felt that much as they're so strong nap by 4-6 for me. I'm not terribly up on the Leinster champ but from recent results you'd think cuala should come thru.

The last time they met in the Munster Club final Shane Dowling was the difference between the teams and his late goal finally killed off Ballygunner. Don't think there will be much in it this time either, but expect Piarsaigh to come through again. They have brought through some nice hurlers since that 2015 final including Thomas Grimes, Conor Boylan, and Michael Casey, and with Adrian Breen in brilliant scoring form they should have enough to remain unbeaten in Munster and claim their fourth provencal crown.

If you are looking for an outside bet, St. Martins to take Cuala, but it is an outside bet for a reason.

Both Casey and Grimes played in that 2015 final against Ballygunner. Casey in fact was close to being man of the match.

Kilcormac Kiloughey had a big win today over Carlow's Mount Leinster Rangers by 2-21 to 0-10. KK were down to 14 men after midfielder Cillian Kiely was red carded before half time, but dominated the game afterwards in a great display of hurling, to win by 17 points. They will however enter the Leinster Final v Cuala as underdogs on Sunday 3rd December.
Hoping for another good day for the Offaly champs, who knows what might happen on the day!

Not my finest prediction above, but in my defence if I had known 2 of St. Martins key players would not start the game, and a 3rd one would play with tonsilitis, I would not have made it!

Pinkie it makes no difference Cuala have Con O Callaghan and every other club in Ireland doesn't. If Con stays fit and plays every game left then they should just give Cuala the trophy now cause this kid is unstoppable.

Again yesterday he was motm by a country mile but they probably gave it to an Irish speaking Kerry man.

Con is a gaeilgeor too Clondalkindub. In fact most of that Cuala team are.

Clondalkinkid I am guessing you haven't seen Na Piarsaigh play at any stage this decade if you think Cuala should be handed the trophy. Any club that has 10 players on a Tier 1 county panel can't be that bad can they!
