O Gara and Keegan deserve bans in my opinion, be played out in the league, no one will bat an eye lid, they will both be back before a serious ball in kicked and will all be forgotten about until this time next year.

i watched the dublin and tyrone game so boring. im upset at mayo losing to dublin. but at least it was a great game to watch. people should look at all the postives from this great game. it up to all the other counties to take pride in to trying to match this great dublin team and to push youself to the limit like mayo did on sunday instead of crying about dublin been unbeatable and look at it as the ultimate challange to try and beat this great dublin team. thats the way will be foscused this winter. im shocked at tyrone seem to think dublin cant be beat. there is honour with leaving 100% on the field like mayo

Keegan threw the GPS unit at the ball to knock it out of place rather than the man, unsporting behaviour and should be punished.
Rock if he did interfere with the eyes is a far more serious incident.
But the hypocrisy of all supporters. Any form of rule breaking is cheating; but the typical Irish attitude, pick the ones that suit your agenda.
Rules need to be changed to give referees a fair chance.
4 steps between hop/solo is now obselete, never enforced.
Pick up off the ground, saw 4 blatant pickups last Sunday unpenalised.
Holding your player during kickouts/ blocking their runs.
So before you get on your high horse crying about a GPS tracker been thrown at a leather football remember that there was plenty of cheating prior to this we decided to ignore because we wanted a good game. Could be a better game if teams cut the crap out!

WATCH: Cormac Costello chucks away David Clarke's tees at vital moment

Footage from the ground shows the Whitehall native pick up David Clarke's kicking cone and chuck it away before kicking two more at either post.

'When Mayo go to restart, four Dublin forwards are head-locking their men. Cormac Costello gets booked. Ciarán Kilkenny leaves the field on a black card, in no real hurry.'

We need fair and balanced comment. Charlie Redmond is a joke commenting on discipline issues after his antics in the 1995 final . He will always be remembered for his ill discipline and petulance on that occasion.

Keegan's offence yellow or at worst black O'Gara violent red 3 months. Laws are laws but the lack of enforcement or consistency in the ref was terrible! That is the way with most big games Dublin better team (like war who makes less mistakes wins) but I do think on balance they got more from a nervous and indecisive McQuillan (eg. 3 failures to indicate advantages he seemed to be playing but a peno? really annoying lack of clarity). The 4 Dublin black cards (instead of the one given) at the last kickout where really cynical but the standard of reffing invited it. And re. the other thread McGuinness called it right!

As I've said before, this is a non event.
A small plastic object was thrown along the grass at Croke Park.
It's well down the list of offenses that were committed during the game last Sunday.
Can we move on

Exactly Charlie was a pure angel with a halo over his head it's laughable.

"A new low for Gaelic football"... Jesus wept. The Dubs should just be thankful O'Gara has escaped scrutiny.

And for the record I agree that Keegan should have been punished... McQuillan should have moved the ball forward 13m.

Replying To Killarney.87:  "If Lee Keegan threw his GPS at Rock it is very disappointing to see. Keegan is better than that and shouldn't let the frustration of yet another agonising defeat get the better of him.

As for Kerry fans slating Keegan. I find that hilarious when Barry John Keane cynically booted the ball off the kicking tee as Papa Durcan was about to take a kick out in the dying stages of the 2014 final.

All the threads since the final whistle have been dominated with negativity. What about the balls Rock showed to convert that winning free, fair play to him."
Welcome to Gaelic Football. Nothing wrong with the sport but the fans are never happy unless they're outraged... Even when they win.

Keegan in my opinion will get a lengthy ban, look he set a precedent and if its let go you open up a whole array of shenanigans to be tried. Equally O Gara should get a ban, no time for any of that messing.

None of this my county is any more or less cynical then the other guff, Kerry, Dublin, Tyrone and Mayo in particular have no moral highroad to take here.

How about staying on the pitch after you get sent off Charlie Redmond? Where do you stand on that?

the same shyte from ex players to make a headline and keep themselves relevant and it's not as if he had an exemplary record. anyhow all this negativity and what aboutery is now getting boring, for the neutral a great game a great game played with intensity and some cynicism which is the norm in any high stakes game by 2 exceptional teams. all the begrudgery by posters should be aimed at their own counties and those charged with running it an, not at other posters to get a reaction. The seasons over and we should all now be looking forward to a new season and hopefully success. All the if it was xyz player from abc county is irrelevant and yes we would all be calling for punishments, but now this year is over the all slates should be wiped.

If Cluxton flung a kicking tee and O'Connor taking a free on the 21 what would have happened?

Lee Keegan comes out smelling of roses every time no doubt he will get away without being made an example of sure he's from mayo not Dublin.i wonder will joe brolly his number one fan these days have the guts to give him the same treatment he gave Sean cavanagh regarding being a man though

I feel the comments for Redmond are absolutely pathetic.

He could learn a thing or two from his current dublin team and current dublin management in how they handle themselves with a bit of class. Ye don't hear any whinging or moaning from them about it, Philly Mc Mahon laughed it off.

Pathetic comments to be honest, disappointing to hear.

Sorry but you can't excuse what he did that easily. If it entered Rock's line of sight in the split second before he made contact it could have put him off and it could have cost Dublin. It was an unsporting act unworthy of a great player. The fact that it wasn't the only unsporting act of the day dosn't excuse it either.

Haha, I know. So much negativity about this, that and the other.

Dublin are a great team and that gets very little text time here. Mayo are a fine side too.

I have to laugh at the drama this has caused. Far worse happened during the game. Especially near the end when Clarke was trying to kick the ball out. Who cares? Move on.

I love all the move on nothing to see here. Had a Dub thrown it at a Mayo man would it be the same? Oconnors free off the post say mcmahon threw the gps at that point would it be ok to forget it and move on?
