Embarrassing. Glad a Mayo man didn't write such utter drivel.

Mayo had their chances and unfortunately didn't take them. O'Connor's free, the goal chance, the hail mary by AOS. Then they could argue that O'Gara should have seen red, Was the free for the first tackle outside the box or the second tackle inside. The Dublin free at the end of the first half was soft for Vaughn's arm did make contact but slight.
To offer some balance. Vaughn's Red was justified. Moment of madness. O'Connor should have been reprimanded in the first half for putting Johnny Cooper on the floor and the point shouldn't have stood, it should have been a free out. AOS should have got a black card for a deliberate foot trip. If he had then James McCarthy might have been marked for the start of the second half.
Dublin had a bench and used it. Fair play to the Dubs a great achievement.

I thought the ref done a good job in the grand scheme of things it was a tough game to ref tbh. But to say it was a undeserved all Ireland is laughable mayo had there chances and didn't close out the game simple if yer gunna start blaming the ref ye are really clutching at straws. Hats of to mayo though they proved they are the second best team in the country yesterday but just fell short.

All the given out about the booing in the Roscommon vs mayo game there was plenty of that yesterday to mayo are no angels.

Hope moran gives it one more crack and him or McCarthy get poty.

Indeed. A terrible game yesterday. The minor final is the sort of game we need to see. Old world order needs to be restored.

What rubbish, if people want to get technical, AOS was lucky not to have been black carded 30 seconds into second half. Cillian O'Connor was constantly trying to obstruct Dublin players running forward off the ball and when the chips were down he chocked, as he did in several games this year (he had chances to put Roscommon away the first day, missed easy ones against Derry and Cork that nearly cost them). If Vaughan used his brain at all he'd have realised the Dublin player was about to walk, Mayo had a free and were going to be 15 on 14. Mayo have become so obsessed with how to stop Dublin that they have lost sight of what needs to be done to go and win the game.

I dont know
I had the feeling that Dublin had more in the tank
Even if they needed a goal in injury they would have got it
But they knew they only needed one more point so played keep ball

I agree, congratulations to Dublin on a hard fought and well deserved All Ireland. They were the best team in the country this year by quite a margin and the fact that Mayo came to within a point of them is a great achievement. I feel really sorry for Mayo and their fans but this does not take a way from the fact that Dublin won the game fair and square and this Dublin team should be applauded as one of the greats. Love to see Mayo back again next year.

Very little between these two teams. Dublin rode their luck, took their chances and got over the line. No gripes from a life long Mayo fan. We didn't take our chances and made too many mistakes. Great effort by both teams. Onto next year

Even if the so called penalty was awarded they probably would have missed it or would have been saved, The curse is alive and well. the better drilled team won and well deserved loved the way all the Dublin "tackled" the Mayo lads on the kick out that's a togetherness that Mayo don't have. What about Keegan throwing his GPS tracker at Rock as he took the last free disgraceful. Mayo missed a lot of easy scores and that's what cost them not the ref.

We all know Mayo had their chances and we all know that Dublin are an excellent team who showed their vast experience in winning but!
a 14m free given when it was a clear penalty
7 steps taken before being fouled for the last free
9 steps taken for the goal

McNeaney said that the Ref got 100% of calls correct - does the man think we are all morons- the way the rules are set out along with the goings on make it impossible for any human to get 100%. Ref has a habit of leaning towards stronger teams just as he did last year.

I already mentioned the penalty, So its down to steps? Name one referee that blows a player over 4 steps?

Oh dear. 11 steps from Donal Vaughan for his point, straight red for O'Connor clothes line on Cooper before he got his point, black card for AOS rugby tackle on Fenton in midfield, free awarded for no reason to Mayo after Cluxton's save, GPS thrown at Dean Rock... Should we continue? Quit the whinging and admire what was a great game. Ref made bad decisions for both sides.

Was definitely a penalty to Mayo in my opinion, i feel we were very lucky to win, small margins decided it.

But then i dont think you get lucky as often as we win all irelands and we are a great team, so ill take it all day.

I thought he got a few calls wrong for both sides but big calls as always went Dublins way which was crucial.

2 very soft frees in the first half which Rock scored.
The free just before half time when Mayo were getting up a head of steam and would have got a great rousing reception going in at the break two up...Instead Joe gives a free when two Dublin players clash which was laughable and had the crowd not knowing what to do with the teams going in at the break

O'gara's gouge

The second half was worse

Mayo denied two clear penos one given as a fould outside the area

The other was the good save from Cluxton but in the follow up the Mayo player was fouled twice once was very obvious by Cluxton.

The sending off..Yes Vaughan was silly but if Small's was a yellow so was his both were for the very same thing.Easy option for the ref to send Mayo lad off.

The last free Conolly got was a farce the Mayo man just stood his ground.

The lenght of time Dublin were allowed over this and the sideline was laughable aswell.

Brogan's sideline should have been a throw up...

He ain't called Dublin Joe among County players for nothing.

In saying all that well done to the Dubs 3 in a row is amazing and on a day when they were a little off par the best team lost.but winners know how to win and loosers know how to loose!

Great Game. Would like to see some day what it would be like if refereed as per rulebook.

Issue goes back to 1 question. Why does the GAA not appoint the Country's best referees to top games. Very Good Club and College referees are not brought forward and the same clique are rotated every year. If Teams were managed the same way as referees are appointed The frees yesterday would have been taken by Barney Rock and Willy Joe Padden

I've not seen such a one sided post as yours all day. It's actually laughable. Only for I'm in such a good mood I would take you to task. Another day perhaps! :)

No injustice. Mayo played very well but we left that All Ireland behind us. Vaughan's sending off and missed chances were what cost us the game. Fair play to Dublin. We'll see yee again in 2018
