Not a great final to be honest. But both teams give it their all and that's a credit to them. Wind was very strong. The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2088 - 15/10/2017 22:03:00 2055447 Link 0 |
I'm hearing from twitter, numerous posts and from some friends in Tyrone who were at the county final that this was an awful game - one twitter group albeit a funny one at halftime called it "Pure Dung" at 0-4 to 0-1. Is Tyrone football beginning to resemble Mickey Harte's county tactics - if it is God help the good supporters who pay to go to club matches in your county. Think MH has a lot to answer for!!!

Horrible game. Both teams played pure muck. No wonder Tyrone football has a bad name with this sorry excuse for a county final. Wally (Tyrone) - Posts: 912 - 16/10/2017 07:35:25 2055491 Link 0 |
I took in county finals for years and it is probably unfair to rate finals played in October. Much preferred when finals played at end of August. Believe Donegal final today was poor as well. Byanthon (Tyrone) - Posts: 1780 - 16/10/2017 09:14:35 2055500 Link 0 |
Fair enough the weather may have played a part in how poor this game. I do agree that the championship is being ruined by the scheduling of our county board and what is dictated by the county team. At the same time my own club played in 3 very good championship games this year which were played in similar conditions so I think the teams need to take a bit of personal responsibility for what was on offer. To be fair lads, neither Errigal nor Omagh are under obligation to entertain - it was a final, finals are for winning hence the dogged nature of it. Brutal stuff but sure there won't be a word of complaint from anyone in Omagh today. GetOverTheBar (Tyrone) - Posts: 1388 - 16/10/2017 21:21:15 2055645 Link 0 |
