Replying To Ulsterman:  "Outside of Dublin and Mayo I don't think I have ever encountered as much apathy, indifference and disinterest at an All Ireland final as this one. I was talking to a few Meath fellas in Scotland at the weekend and they had the same attitude. Shrugged their shoulders and said "the game is dying on it's proverbial in Leinster. Dublin this year, Dublin next year and Dublin for the next 10 years"."
Antrim is not a stronghold of Gaelic football. So what right have you to post on this game?

The cat I have in mind is not your regular felis domesticus. We've got cats up in the Phoenix park to deal with your oversized mice.

Jeez, so one has to come from a football stronghold to express an opinion here. With comments like that it's no wonder some Ulster posters feel alienated.

Replying To gotmilk:  "Antrim is not in Great Britain you clown. If you're trying to troll at least be factually correct. Great Britain is Scotland, England and Wales. If you take a look at your west brit passport you will see it says the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (and Wexford)"
If you took the time to read your provincial colleague's post, you'll note that he said that he is in Scotland with some friends. By your own admission Scotland is in Great Britain. Looks like you owe somebody an apology ;)

Sorry about that, we'll not make any further comments....apologies on behalf of all Antrim posters for having the temerity to express an opinion.
Maybe you could clarify which other counties can and cannot contribute further to this thread.

Replying To Kirkintilloch:  "All the signs and predictions are saying its a Dublin win
Cant fault the current Dublin team for the way they've played this season
Taking nothing away from them it would be great if Mayo can bring something fresh to the game
What have they to lose

Was annoyed that Dublin resorted to a wee bit of showboating in the Tyrone game with losts of pasing round the park
Dublin fans enjoyed getting in touch with their Spanish side with their calls of 'Ole' but it didn't do anything to promote the game

Was likened to a cat playing with a mouse

Hopefully the mayo mouse will have sharper teath come Sunday"
Very strange way to look at that game. Dublin done showboating? You mean when Tyrone stuck to putting everyone behind the ball, Dublin showed great patience and bit by bit took the system apart? You think Mayo should teach Dublin a lesson. A lesson for what? - all Dublin did was expose an ultra defensive system and, with a little luck, maybe stop others from emulating it.

Showboating? Surely of all people, a Donegal man would understand Dublin's technique, obviously not!

is this the apathy you're talking about....

The TV audience peaked at over 1.3 million people as Dean Rock steered over the winning free deep into injury-time, sealing a first three-in-a-row for the Dubs since the 1920s.

Yesterday's decider also saw the highest volume of live streams for any football final ever on the RTÉ Player and the strongest volume of live streams for any Sunday Game Live programme ever.

You mean Ulsterman was talking out of his posterior again? What a shocker.

Yep and he/she were so uninterested in it that they immediately post another thread about it. Of course while the points made there was the expected drivel, it didn't read like it was from somone who had no interest in the game or indeed someone who was 'indifferent'.

Serious Apathy yesterday horsebox.

Only the most watched event in 2017, watched by more people than the hurling final.

Not bad for a game dying on its arse and no interest,.

HA!!
