I always felt the winner would come from the Dublin v Tyrone game. I have seen nothing from the other semi final to change my opinion. I feel Dublin are on a mission this year they have yet to perform to there best in a final with the possible exception of the 2015 final. They seem to have timed there run to perfection and are approaching peak form and fitness. They have won there 4 all-irelands this decade by a combined 6pts. I think they will match that and put in a big performance.

Dublin by 6

Yes it is correct that Dublin have only narrowly won their Finals.Three of the four won by a point, one after a replay and the other won by three points. This Dublin team is often compared to Kerry late seventies .However, Kerry Kate seventies won some of their Finals by a cricket score.I wonder could Dublin turn it on on Sept 17 and win well.Mayo are a good team though and will be a lot better than Tyrone I'd say.

If we can get our population up to about the two million, have lots and lots of dosh to play around with and get to play all our games at home we might give it a good shot. Until then I'm afraid we're just making up the numbers. Dublin by as much as they want!"
You spent more than Dublin last year and won nothing.

You do realise you spent more 'dosh' than any other county last year right? If it's all about spending the most why haven't you won by now?

Professionals against amateurs? Mayo sure spend a lot for an amateur team.

Small pool to pick from. We spend the money wisely and make the most of what we've got as we can't buy players. Driving into Dublin at the weekend I saw more houses in five minutes than I would in the three hour drive from Claremorris to Belmullet. I think the fairest competition would be Dublin versus the rest of Ireland. Even at that you lads would still probably win. If I sound bitter it's because I am!

Replying To waynoI:  "You get what you deserve, you haven't won Sam since 51, you lost 7 finals in a row because you haven't been good enough to get over the line, If and when you are good enough, you will get over the line but until then, you guys aren't deserving of it. No amount of heartbreak covers up your shortcommings in finals."
Jeez you've a ruthless streak :)
