Not only one of the greatest, but probably the most decorated Ulster footballer, 3 All SFC, 1 MFC, 2 U-21, 5/6 Ulster SFC, 8 Mc Kenna Cups, Railway Cups, Mc Crory Cup, International, All Stars etc cuchulainn35 (Armagh) - Posts: 1664 - 28/08/2017 12:21:39 2039232 Link 0 |
What do you mean now is not time to talk about the match ? You are always saying I lick up to the culchies... Give it a rest man will ya. I'm not having this "i felt for you today" carry on. If you were leaving that ground yesterday with anything in your mind other than elation for the absolute imperious, magical demolition job that Dublin handed out to Tyrone, then you sir, are talking through your hoop. I totally agree that Sean Cav is a genuine, bona fide legend of the game, Dublin players in going over and wishing him well was classy (of course it was, everything about this panel and management just oozes class) and I of course wish him well. But I certainly didn't give him, nor Tyrone a second thought after that game yesterday, All the talk was about how we made a very good chase shadows for 76 minutes. Worthy of the applause he got when going off. Only saw the SG live now and was emotinal stuff with SC having his family around him and all. Says a lot abou the man that the oppostion queued up to acknowledge him. Nice touch by Cluxton & Co. poguemahone (Dublin) - Posts: 365 - 28/08/2017 13:05:18 2039270 Link 0 |

Great player, at his peak he was the best in the country. Glad to see the Dublin players giving him a warm send off. Marse (Dublin) - Posts: 217 - 28/08/2017 23:39:45 2039734 Link 0 |
Sean has been a magnificent player for Tyrone and we are very grateful we had his presence on the team for as long as we did. He is a legend in Tyrone and we will be forever grateful for all he has done for Tyrone football. Thanks big man and enjoy taking things a little easier. seanie_boy (Tyrone) - Posts: 4235 - 29/08/2017 02:12:07 2039769 Link 0 |
For me, Sean is up there with Peter Canavan, Sean O'Neill and John Joe O'Reilly on the Mount Rushmore of Ulster GAA greats. Thomas Clarke (Tyrone) - Posts: 1002 - 29/08/2017 23:05:10 2040478 Link 0 |
A fantastic player, who after 13 or 14 years was still able to sell that exact same dummy. Great playing career with Tyrone, I'm sad to see him wrap up his career and not give it one more year. GaryMc82 (Derry) - Posts: 3017 - 02/09/2017 16:30:29 2041853 Link 0 |
