What a shot stopper this man is!

I know his kick outs aren't the best at times but he's unbelievably good on a one on one situation.

Some of the saves he has made in the last couple of seasons, and again today, are absolutely top class.

Fair play to him!

His kickouts were excellent Saturday (having been good but under unreal pressure last week). His save was immense and took the game away from Kerry.

Rochford has proved to be very tactically astute in the last few games but even if Mayo win the All Ireland this year I don't think he'll ever live down his decision to drop Clarke last year.

Great shot stopper and all round very good keeper his kick outs for me is an area I would be looking to exploit in the final, certainly they contributed to the win last year.

We in Mayo have been saying this for years, when Clarke is taking a kick out he turns his whole body in that direction and can easily be read by the opposition, just watch Cluxton he can flick the ball left or right when his body is showing that he is kicking straight out down the middle. Clarke is a brilliant shot stopper but his weakness is the kick outs, he shows too much and that was one of the reason for the change in the replay last year that backfired horribly for Mayo

Spot on . Clarke is a great keeper , but second best for that very reason. Great shot stopper but telegraphs everything. Will never be No 1 in my opinion

Riverboys - I don't think you speak for even a small minority of people in Mayo (never mind a majority) with your comments in relation to Clarkey. He has been one of our best servants over the past 15 years and showed on Saturday that his kickouts are up there with the best in the game. Their was no justifiable rationale for the decision to drop Clarke for the AIF replay last year.

Maybe Hennelly would be a better option for the final, kickouts will be vital.

There was a justifiable reaoson though.

His kickouts arepoor, telegraphed and very loopy and floatng and so ripe for picking off by the opposition.

The kickout is such an importnat aspect of goalkepping and in fact it is probably the most important aspect considering how important retention of possession is.

Good man El Torro. You've obviously nothing better for doing than stirring the pot after Sunday's result...................

It wouldn't surprise me if he was dropped again hahah

Brillant shot stopper poor at kicking out the ball, dubs will defo press up on them and make mayo go long if possible.
