This is not Kerry football

Silly fouling off the ball, pulling and dragging, more backs than forwards, defending in depth. Where do you stop. If Fitzmaurice does not change his tactics then the Kingdom are gone.

YES it IS Kerry football. They have great footballers but have a very cynical side too. Billy Morgan always said Kerry were the most cynical team Cork played down through the years. Kerry's awful antics today will probably be blamed on Tyrone and Donegal. Donaghy should get a hefty ban for that double punch on O'Shea.

They fouled because if they didn't they would've been hammered, they were desperation tackles.

I better not hear again the statement 'it's not the Kerry way'

What a load of utter tripe!

Really surprised by Kerry. Tactically hammered. Mayo were simply immense today.

It is the Kerry way they are a horrible cynical team. Very bad losers the carry on off Donaghy ( Finally booked for mouthing at the ref ) Maher, Geaney and o'sullivan was really sad to see.

Big question is will Fitzmaurice stay on or is it back to Jack to bring through the young crop. Fitzmaurice has shown no real appetite to blood the young player.

I agree fully but I thought the ref should have acted to stop the continual pulling and dragging by their forwards as Mayo tried to play the ball out,

When other teams play cynically they are slated for it but when Kerry do it, it is either ignored or held up as an example of their cuteness. One of the worst examples of this was Pat Spillane's glowing praise for them after the 2014 final against Donegal, a game in which Kerry played puke football throughout.

Kerry players totally lost the plot today.

Very indisciplined from the start to finish. Surprising to see from senior inter county players.

Kerry didn't have the legs to deal with the Mayo running game. They played a similar tactic to the league final were they pulled and dragged cynically to try and stop Mayo building momentum the only difference was there a was a strong referee and not a greenhorn who didn't let them away with it.

Agree completely.

Another problem is they dominate the media, as do the stronger counties in both codes.

Kerry are the most cynical and dirty team in the country. Great to see a referee finally catching on to it.

........I was trying to give Colm,Pat and Joe the chance to show that they are fair and consistent when it comes to scathing criticism and personal attacks on certain players and teams, but not to my surprise they have again shown their disgusting bias against some teams and players,by their complete failure to acknowledge what happened in that game today. As I said earlier it was a well deserved win to Mayo but that game was riddled with fouling, pulling and dragging, men wrestling on the ground and to finish it all of there was a nice punch to the face for the finale. Now I don't need to name players as we all seen what went on out on that pitch today. There was,I think, 3 red cards and 2 blacks. Fouls were coming fast and steady for most of the game. If certain other teams offered up what these 2 teams did today they would have been ripped to shreds by these 3 toolbags in the post match commentary. Today though not a peep about cynicism, fouling or punches to the face. Please do not insult the intelligence of people who question the integrity of these 3 to analyze games fairly.Today they once again showed that they are infact a very biased group of commentators and Lyster is also implicit in all of this as he is the lead commentator. In my own opinion just let me say that most of it was oul hand bags stuff for the most part and should be left on the field. See no need to make national news of most of it. That's football sometimes. Wasn't a pretty game to watch at times but that happens in games where passions are soaring. If it had been other teams and players though they would have been roasted by these guys and it's nauseating to hear them say nothing on this occasion. If they could at least carry todays inconsistency forward then it wouldn't be so bad,but I doubt that very much. The only thing they were honest about, and because it was undeniable, was the limited challenge offered by the Kerry team.

precisely, the 3amigos' are as predictable as the gaa disciplinary system in that they are consistent in their inconsistency when it comes to calling out some teams and the crap that goes on off the ball etc. if this had of been Dublin tyrone there would be uproar about the fouling sledging? pulling back/ down sly digs, lets hope we get a good game of football tomorrow and we are commenting on a great game. Safe travels to all tomorrow and good luck to the tyrone u17s, derry minors and the tyrone seniors, nice wee bet for those 3 to win

Hefty ban wont make any difference, don't think Donaghy will play for Kerry again.

Football is one of the most undisciplined sports going
Way worse than soccer
Even d simple little things like kicking ball away, trying to keep ball when free given against their team
Every team at it, some teams are just highlighted a lot more
Anyone that says something different is in denial!
