I have a feeling that today could be Waterfords. Whether this is a good game or not wont matter in the end. ZUL10 (Clare) - Posts: 693 - 03/09/2017 11:13:27 2042091 Link 0 |
Another one who doesn't get irony!

People are at their most serious when they're joking! No one could ever accuse the cats of being sore losers. I'm joking of course! Irony lads! ;)

He's entitled to his opinion and a lot of "traditional" hurling fans will be nodding their head in agreement but this comment is interesting; "Derek McGrath must walk away if Waterford lose today," he said. "The Waterford system is nothing to be in love with and I've always said it can't win an All-Ireland." So by that token, Babs should quit as a pundit if Waterford win. To be fair though, for a man who has won so much as a player and manager, most hurling fans take Babs' opinions with a large pinch of salt. ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1246 - 03/09/2017 14:02:03 2042145 Link 0 |
Yes, he is entitled to his opinion, but he needs to back it up. He does not offer any real reason why McGrath should go - he just dislikes the sweeper system. A 10 year old could come up with a more thoughtful and insightful analysis than the rubbish Babs comes out with

Why would McGrath quit if they lose today? Bizarre statement - certainly not because ol Babs thinks so.

Bit of self righteous nonsense.. Babs is the Pat Spillane of hurling commentary..

The curse of Galway goalkeepers strikes again. Galway should be well ahead. ballydalane (Kilkenny) - Posts: 1246 - 03/09/2017 15:56:47 2042177 Link 0 |
2 soft goals kept Waterford in it. Bring on Jason Flynn for Galway- and he will get the goals. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2513 - 03/09/2017 16:10:37 2042181 Link 0 |

Galway the better team so far but only ahead by one.. jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20587 - 03/09/2017 16:16:51 2042184 Link 0 |
Advantage Waterford at half time. Galway do most of the hurling and only go in a point ahead. Laois76 (Laois) - Posts: 1270 - 03/09/2017 16:16:58 2042185 Link 2 |

Great game to watch so far, very hard to call at this stage, interesting to see if Galway can come again. Some big hits, great to see but not a dirty game. KY4SAM2015 (Kerry) - Posts: 898 - 03/09/2017 16:24:42 2042193 Link 0 |
It looked like Galway were going to win the easily in the first 5 minutes. This must be the best match I've seen in a while. Ref is doing a great job. Think we will see a draw here. oakleafersir (Derry) - Posts: 808 - 03/09/2017 16:24:49 2042194 Link 0 |
